Calculating the Net Working Days in a given period 1) If you want to calculate Net working days during a year, you can use the formula mentioned below. This formula counts Sat & Sun as holidays. If there is any other holiday you can incorporate it in the Syntax: Networkdays(Start date, end date, holidays) Holidays 25-Dec-11 26-Dec-11

Sharing a WorkBook with Other Users

If you want to share a file with other users, Excel provides a function of sharing workbook on network. Several users can use that file working simultaneously. Go to REVIEW ribbon, then to Share WorkBook. TICK the box that allows more than 1 user to edit the file. Then Go to ADVANCED TAB and tick the BOX stating "Ask me which changes win". It would help u trace the changes made in the cells when you save it.

Preventing users from changing a part of workbook 1) Sheet can be protected from any changes, any input from any user. However, if you want to give limited changes right to users in limited cells you can do this as well. Select whole sheet and right click the mouse to go to Format Cells, Then to last TAB Protection and check both boxes of 'LOCKED' & 'HIDDEN'. Then choose only those cells that you want users to edit. Again go to Format Cells, Protection TAB and Uncheck both boxes. Now Go to REVIEW ribbon, Protect Sheet and Insert the PASSWORD to protect. Your Sheet is protected against editing, deleting, inserting rows or columns as per your wish.
