Salvation Army provides food, clothing (emergency situations), gasoline for a new job and utility assistance. Non financial needs such as clothing, food, formula, diapers and household items will remain on a first come first serve basis on Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting at 1:00 pm. All financial needs such as past due utility bills and state aid medical transportation will be by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Love Inc. Clearing House Through area churches, the Clearinghouse helps people with furniture, linens, household items, etc. Church volunteers help people with moving, transportation, home repairs and many other services. Clothe-A-Kid for school Agencies can make referrals to Clothe-A-Kid in late spring. Cases for Kids Cases for Kids provides children who have been unexpectedly displaced from their homes with a backpack, change of clothes, toiletries, and age appropriate toy, a blanket and a small stuffed animal.

COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM (CAP)

SERVICES PROVIDED:
1. Free clothing (entire family, some household items). 2. Bread and some food items when available. 3. A necessity pantry (available twice a year) of these items: shampoo, toothpaste, dish and bar soap, laundry detergent and toilet paper. 4. Garden kits are available in April...tomato, onion, and green pepper plants plus a wide variety of seeds. 5. Season swimming passes for children in May or early June. 6. School supplies available in August. 7. Free books for children three times a year through the RIP (Reading Is Fundamental) program. 8. Medical equipment lending grab bars, handrails, toilet raisers, some air conditioners (if requested as need by doctor). 9. Weatherize homes and repair, replace furnaces (free to homeowners). Rentals landlords need to contribute. 10. Commodities available on a monthly basis.

COST: Free to limited income families can leave a donation if possible. TO APPLY AT C.A.P. OFFICE FOR A CERTIFICATION CARD FOR FOOD PANTRY ITEMS & OTHER SERVICES SUCH AS SCHOOL SUPPLIES, SWIMMING PASSES, GARDEN KITS, COMMODITIES, ETC.

Childrens Special Health Services (CSHS)- Health KiCC (Better health for Kids with Chronic Conditions) is a program funded through federal and state monies that provides financial assistance for procedures, treatments, medications, and travel reimbursements for children with chronic health conditions. Core Coordination services are also available upon request. To be eligible for CSHS-Health KiCC, a child must:

Be a resident of South Dakota Be under 21 years of age Have a chronic medical condition covered by CSHS-Health KiCC Meet financial guidelines

Your child must meet all eligibility requirements to qualify.
