MISSION: The YWCA of Minot, ND is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. ROLE: The Resident Manager is responsible for the routine and ongoing functioning of the program facility and services to enable the Minot YWCA to fulfill its goals and priorities as set by its Board of Directors. POSITION SUMMARY: The YWCA Resident Manager must have a passion for the mission of the YWCA and want to make a difference in changing womens lives through the YWCA shelter programs. The Resident Manager is responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the building including the support and supervision of shelter and permanent supportive housing residents. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree from a 4-year college or university in human service/public administration, social work, or other closely related field preferred. Equivalent education/experience considered. One year experience in crisis intervention or residential supervision preferred. Demonstrated assertiveness and ability to manage conflict. Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Experience in managing residential facility preferred.

JOB DUTIES: Provide support and supervision of shelter residents, including the enforcement of shelter and permanent supportive housing (PSH) contracts/requirements.

Monitor building and shelter security systems and procedures. Manage physical, social and mental emergency needs of shelter residents. Provide admittance, and intake of shelter and PSH resident; arrange alternate shelter, as needed. Track statistical data on requests for services and services provided. Maintain files for shelter and PSH residents and safeguard confidential information gained as a result of the position. Ensure proper documentation is obtained for PSH files. Track rent payments and provide follow-up as needed. Monitor functioning of crisis line; answer, as needed. Responsible for daily shelter operations. Assure necessary maintenance and custodial functions, as needed. Comply with applicable local, state and federal requirements and regulations. Comply with Association policy regarding required reporting of child abuse, elder abuse, suicide and homicide. Project a positive image of the YWCA Minot and its programs to the community. Work cooperatively with program participants, YWCA staff, volunteers, and community partners. Responsible for shelter food program. Supervise volunteers and track hours. Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION: Based on experience. Minimum salary $26,000 annually.
