3)Special keys
a) dependent keys : Shift, Ctrl(control), Alt
b) windows logo key : press to get start menu
c)Enter key :
(i) to give a command to the computer
(ii) to get a new line while typing
d)Backspace: to delete character from right to left .
e)delete : to delete selected file or folder and send it to recycle bin. or to
delete characters from left to right
f)Esc(escape):to cancel a command or to close menus.
g)Home : to place the cursor in first column of the line.
h)End : to place the cursor in the last column of the line.
i)Page up : move to one ful screen above.
j)Page down : move to one ful screen down.
k)Insert : to overwrite the letters
l)Space Bar : (i) to give space between the words while typing
(ii) to select or deselect check box.
m)Arrow keys : to move arround a certain application example: ms word, ms excel
n)Caps Lock : to type letters in capital or in upper case.
o)Accessory Key: right click of the mouse
p)Power : to power off of ur computer. or shut down of ur computer.
q)Tab: to give a tab space or to move to all controls with in a window.
Ctrl + Tab : to move around the tab sections with in the window.
Shift + Delete : to delete a selected file or folder permanently from the system
with out sending it to recycle bin.
press underline letter within the option of the menu to select the option.
when we switch on the computer the screen appears on the monitor is divided into 2
parts:1)Desk top : contains icons
2)Task bar : contains start button on to the left and clock to the right side of
the task bar.
