She doesn't really know the truth about an international corporation which wants to drill for oil in Louisiana and which is run by Victor Mattiece but she finds out by accident and then she writes 'The Pelican Brief. Two judges are murdered and in 'The Pelican Brief she explains how this happened. Because a lot of bad people want to kill her, like in the car bomb that killed Thomas Callahan, she goes into hiding in different hotels and cities. The FBI,the CIA,a hitman called Khamel and lots of others, are trying to find her but in the end she beats them all. There is another character called Gray Grantham and he is a reporter.
