Minimum RAM required by the Operating System. 4.0 gigabyte (GB) available disk space. 800 x 600 or higher-resolution monitor. USB 2.0 Port support.

Tools Needed: SKYPAD Pocket Mini-USB to USB cable Paperclip SKYPAD Pocket Firmware Tool & Image Laptop or Computer running Windows XP, Vista, or 7

1. Please place the SKYPAD Pocket in bootstrap mode. a. First, power off the Pocket by holding the Power button and pressing the option Power off b. Then, plug the USB cable into your computer/laptop, but do not connect it to your SKYPAD Pocket c. Take the paperclip and press and hold the button inside the Mic hole. While the button is being held, plug the mini-USB from the USB cable into the SKYPAD Pocket. d. Your laptop/computer will now try to install the driver for the Pockets board. e. We have provided the driver for the SKYPAD Pocket, which will be installed in the following steps. 2. Proceed to the firmware Upgrade

a. Unzip/Unpack the SKYPAD Pocket firmware zip file into a location that you will be able to browse and find. b. Then open the SKYPAD Pocket firmware folder (you will see two objects, LiveSuitPack and SKYPAD Pocket firmware image file). c. Next, unpack the LiveSuitPack, and then select the language for the tool. d. The LiveSuitPack will now prompt you to install the driver for the SKYPAD Pockets board in bootstrap. *Note: This will be a RED window from Windows, please click Install anyways so that Windows may install the driver for you automatically. (If this process was skipped and did not appear, please skip to the bottom of this instruction page to install the drivers manually). e. Double-click the LiveSuit to run the application and follow through with the wizard. i. It will ask you whether or not to enter the upgrade guide -> click Yes ii. Select the Mandatory upgrade mode. iii. Click Next iv. Then click on Yes to select the Image file. Browse for the SKYPAD Alpha firmware image and click Open. v. Then Select Finish. vi. The tooling will now begin automatically, but if it hasnt began to process, just unplug the mini-USB port from the SKYPAD Pocket, and plug it in again. vii. Once the tooling has begun, please wait until the process states that it has been completed to unplug the Pocket from your laptop/computer.

Installing the SKYPAD Pockets Driver Manually

These instructions are only meant if the automatic driver installation has failed to install the driver.
Please follow all of the procedures of Step 1 before attempting to manually install the SKYPAD Pocket driver. On your laptop/computer, click on the start menu and mouse over the Computer button. Right-click Computer and select the option Manage On the left navigation bar for your Computer Management window, select the Device Manager tab. There will be an unknown device under the Other devices -> right-click the unknown device and click on the option Update Driver Software

Then select Browse my computer for driver software -> Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer -> Show All Devices and click Next -> click on the Have Disk button and browse for the Drivers located in the unpacked LiveSuit package. There will be a folder called UsbDriver -> then select the driver from the list and install.
