DAILY PLAN OF ACTIVITIES Name of PHN: Rene John G.

Francisco Date of Exposure: December 5, 2012 Day of Exposure: 3 (Wednesday) Area of Exposure: Library-Health Science Campus USLS Extension General Objectives: After 2 days of library work, the Practicing Head Nurse will be able to: 1. Define objectives for completion of library work and what are the things that needs to be done 2. Apply the basic foundation of effective searching and researching of information for completion of the output. 3. Show importance of the research activities for improvement of ones skills and addition of knowledge in nursing. Specific Objectives: After 8 hours of library work, the Practicing Head Nurse will be able to: 1. State the main purpose of the agenda which is to conduct research in the library. 2. Utilize the resources in the library for easy access of information necessary for data inputs. 3. Demonstrate proper decorum in the area while completing the requirement. TIME 7:00AM- 7:30AM ACTIVITIES Assembly in the assigned area (HSC Amphitheatre) Opening prayer RATIONALE Discipline- Encourages student staff nurses to be a disciplined individual and always start the day with a prayer Communication- Good standing through coordination and cooperation among the group are maintained by effective communication Authority and Responsibility- right to give orders by the area facilitator and the choice to respond on the work given Unity of Command- PHNs will have to be oriented for coordination to make the work easier Unity of Direction- to have unison in motion,

7:30AM- 8:30AM

Preconference Orientation to be given by PHN facilitator on what to do for this day Checking of requirements

8:30AM- 11:30AM

Proceed to the Library Utilize materials in the library to research on information based on the questions given Make an output

PHNs should be moving towards a common objective in a common direction. Clarity of Purpose- Coordination and cooperation are facilitated by an effective system of communication Division of Work- load of work at the level of the strength a PHN can handle Order- for one to produce an output, one must assess if materials and resources are adequate Initiative- accomplishing a task needs execution to produce results Equity- Allowing personal necessities for a specified time to be implemented to the whole group Discipline- strict compliance to the allotted time for breaks. Initiative- accomplishing a task needs execution to produce results. Remuneration- Compensation for work done should be fair to both PHN and area facilitator Unity of command- attaining unified instructions as to the activities on the days to follow.
