WEST COACHES

Kevin Guy, Head Coach


Kevin Guy is the current head coach for the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League (AFL). Kevin played four years as a wide receiver and defensive back in the AFL, with Minnesota Fighting Pike in 1996, the New Jersey Red Dogs from 1997 to 1999, and the Orlando Predators in 1999. He first became a regular starting defensive back in 1996 with Minnesota. In 1998 with New Jersey, he helped lead the Red Dogs to the AFL Semifinal. Kevin became a head coach at the af2 level, starting in 2002 with the Tennessee Valley Vipers. After coaching Tennessee to 3 consecutive playoff berths 2002, 2003 & 2004, he moved to the Rio Grande Valley Dorados, and served as head coach during the 2005 season and led the Dorados to the National Conference Championship game. After the 2005 season, Guy was named the defensive coordinator for the San Jose SaberCats of the AFL. Guys defensive squad helped lead the SaberCats to back-to-back American Conference Championship Game appearances, and a berth in ArenaBowl XXI, where the SaberCats would defeat the Chicago Rush. Following the SaberCats ArenaBowl victory, the Arizona Rattlers named Guy their 4th head coach in franchise history. Guy led the team to playoff appearances in his first five seasons there, making 3 consecutive appearances in the ArenaBowl, winning ArenaBowl XXV and ArenaBowl XXVI both over the Philadelphia Soul.

Cecil Doggette: Assistant Coach


Cecil Doggette first attended Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY. He then transferred to West Virginia University where he was a two-year starter as a Defensive Back. Doggette was signed by the San Diego Chargers of the NFL in 1992. In 1993, Cecil signed with the Detroit Drive of the AFL, where he played five games, recording 6.5 tackles and one interception. After the 1993 season, Cecil signed a one-year contract with the New York Jets of the NFL. In 1995, the Jets allocated him to the Frankfurt Galaxy of the World League. He helped Frankfurt win the World Bowl Championship that season as the special teams MVP. Cecil played in the World League until 1997. From 1997-2000, Cecil was a member of the Arizona Rattlers. In 1999, Cecil was named to the All Arena Team. From 2001 2005, Cecil played for the Grand Rapids Rampage of the AFL, once again making the All Arena Team in 2004. In 2006, Doggette retired after playing one season with the Columbus Destroyers. Cecil Doggette currently runs GameTime Sportz which is a youth flag football association.

EAST COACHES
Clint Dolezel, Head Coach
Clint Dolezel has finished his first season as the head coach of the Philadelphia Soul taking his team to Arena Bowl XXVI. He served as the Souls offensive coordinator in 2012 which also played in Arena Bowl XXV. In 2013, Dolezel was inducted into the Arena Football Leagues Hall of Fame. Beyond being one of the greatest players in AFL history, Dolezel also brings significant coaching experience to the table. He began his coaching career as the offensive coordinator of the af2s Florida Firecats in 2009, when he helped lead the Firecats to a 7-9 record. His offense shined during his time in Florida, putting up 795 points in 2009, for an average of 49.7 points a game. Dolezel got his first head-coaching job with the AFLs Dallas Vigilantes, which he led to an 11-7 record and a playoff berth in 2011. Under Dolezels watch, the Vigilantes were one of just eight teams in the League to crack the 1,000-point mark during the season. Dolezel was voted the 8th Greatest Player in AFL history as voted by the Silver Anniversary Committee in 2012. He stood behind center for six teams during his 13-year professional career, completing 70.4 percent of his passes for 107 touchdowns and just nine interceptions in his second-to-last year in the League. Clint Dolezel ranks second all-time with 44,559 career passing yards.

Phil Bogle, Assistant Coach


Phil Bogle attended the University of New Haven from 1999 to 2002, starting every game for the team at offensive tackle during his career. A team captain during his final two seasons, he was a First-team Division II All-Independent selection as a senior in 2002 and winner the Jim Langer Award. He was also the 2002 Cactus Bowl MVP and 2003 New Haven Male Athlete of the Year. After going undrafted in the 2003 NFL Draft, Bogle was signed by the San Diego Chargers of the NFL as an undrafted free agent on April 23. During his rookie season, Bogle worked at both guard and tackle and started 13 of the 16 games in which he appeared. An unfortunate knee injury ended his stint with the San Diego Chargers in 2004. On October 27, 2006, Bogle was signed by the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League. During his rookie season in 2007, Bogle started all 16 regular season games and two postseason games for the Soul on his way to becoming the franchises first player to be named to the All-Rookie Team and First-Team All-Arena in the same season. In 2008, Bogle earned his second consecutive First-Team All-Arena selection and was a finalist for the leagues Lineman of the Year award. He appeared in 16 regular season games and three postseason games as the team won ArenaBowl XXII. He caught seven passes for 60 yards and six touchdowns on the season as an eligible-receiver lineman. Phil Bogle currently is the Philadelphia Souls Defensive Coordinator.
