We, as a church, are currently working through the book of Philippians. In this book, Paul is writing a letter expressing his thanks to his supporters in Philippi. This has provided a great reminder of how important it is to partner with the extension of Gods kingdom. I have found a new, profound reason to glorify God, because many people have come along side our ministry in order to extend Gods kingdom, and for this I praise His name. In August, the church finished a series of sermons focusing on the Israelites from the moment they were released from slavery through the desert and ending with to their heritage in Canaan. My observation from this teaching is that people from our congregation came to the understanding on Gods redemption and how God is relat ing to His people in various areas of their life. One of my focuses for the month of August was the preparation for our youth camp. My main involvement was empowering the leaders to take over the work with the youth; however, I was also blessed to witness how the youth became interested in allowing Christ in their life, and it brought great joy to my heart. As a family, we had the blessing to go on a small holiday. It was a wonderful time to invest in one another. Thank you for all those who prayed for Jonathan. His cast was removed, and he has made a lot of progress in using his leg!

We were glad and encouraged to be visited and helped by a group of young people from YWAM Medias. They were involved in children ministry, organizing Vacation Bible School-Olt in Drgnesti for 5 days. The children enjoyed various activities, songs and Bible lessons. We pray that God will change their lives and they may rejoice in his salvation offered to all ages. The TPM group, along with local church youth went out and talked to people in Drgnesti about God and urged them to seek Him and trust in Him for salvation of their souls. Some brothers from Grace Church, London visited us and brought clothes and toys to needy families in the southern county of Olt. Praied be God for He mobilizes people and churches to partener with us and to support our mission!

At the end of month we organized a 5-day camp for young people from Drgnesti-Olt and surrounding towns. The camp was attended by about 50 people.

During the camp all of them had the opportunity to learn about real and unconditional love of God. We encourged them to treat seriously the sin and to find their true identity in God and not in models of this world. Bible studies in the morning were followed by sport events and group activities. As we prayed, God touched many hearts and after the camp they testified changes and decisions they have taken for God. Please carry the youth from southern Olt county in your prayers and, as they were encouraged to camp, pray for them to find the salvation that God gives to every young man who trusts in what Jesus did for him on the cross.

In Coteana, in August we continued Sunday afternoon meetings. It was a Sunday when more than usual, I urged the unsaved to return to God and repent. There were some women who asked to come to the church in Drgnesti. I am very glad that they had this desire and that I could help with transportation to the church. Me and my wife, we continued the children ministry with the the 3 groups we have. Most children come from unsaved families, and through the kids we want to get the Word of God to their parents. During this month I visited some parents and I want to continue to visit the rest of them. I was happy to see some kids that are open minded to the Word of God. We continued, as a family, to bring glory to God through our lives by helping people to know more avout the One who paid everything for us to be saved. Glory to Jesus!

Dorothy Reid Draganesti-Olt, Calinesti

This month God fulfilled a desire He had put in my heart to have some 5-day VBS (Vacation Bible School) clubs in Oltenia. He used a team of youth with TPM (Teens for Missions or YWAM in English) to reach boys & girls in 6 locations: Berendei, Draganesti, Comani, Schitu, Lisa and Perieti. Even adults participated full of enthusiasm. The children clearly heard the Good News and many people were blessed. Praise the Lord for this dedicated, hard-working team of youth and we pray that the seed planted will bear fruit. A special blessing for our Saturday club, "Speranta pentru copiii" (Hope for the children) was to have a visit from a Romanian family who our missionaries in a place near Siberia. Our club prays each week for their 4 children so it was a joy to meet them and learn about the place where God has called them to share the gospel.

From 12 to 18 August, we had a week of Vacation Bible Study for children. I was helped by students from YWAM. Almost every day, 15 to 22 children enjoyed the activities and the program made more attractive to them. At the end of the program we made invitation to receive Jesus into their heart. Some have accepted and came forward to pray and to receive Jesus into their heart. We were glad for their decision and that the investment in these children is not in vain. They understood that in order to have a changed life we must receive Lord Jesus in our lives.
At the end of this month, Sunday morning, we organized a church program in which children and their parents were invited. Some parents have accepted the invitation and came. I tried to keep in touch with people who have started attending church in Drgnesti-Olt. I talked to them at the end of the program and I've prayed with them and encourged to read the Word of God and pray every day.

We are very blessed to have missionary doctor, Dr. Alina, and this month she went the second mile as scriptured encourages. She opened her clinic every day one week to one of the widows we help and offered As we prayed, a man asked the Lord to banish the treatments that lasted an hour or more. She gave darkness from his life and to save him from sin. I talked sacrificially of even her free time in the evenings to to a man enslaved by bondage of alcohool and he have us come. I praise the understood that only God can change him. I told him Lord for Dr. Alina and the that I also tried by my own strength but it was in vain gifts and compassion He has until God stepped into my life and he produced that placed in her as well as change. by ambulance to Slatina for further tests. Pray that God will do a miracle in tante Geta's life and that she will be saved.

Daneasa si Pestra In August we managed to achieve the following objectives: - We managed to cover an entire village in the central area, with brochures and Christian literature. - Along with my family was the sister Elizabeth from Austria who came to help us for two weeks. - We visited a few families and we gave them food and nappies / diapers for adults.

Faithful in ordinary things! While we serve God and great things happen, we're pushed to go on by a extraordinary enthusiasm. But when you have to serve Him in the routine you're tempted to ask yourself: Is there God with me? We are tempted to forget that the ministry is His, not ours. God is present in regular activities you need to do every week. This lesson I learned in August. Together with a group of men from Craiova, we proclaim the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ in a poorer area of town Corabia, for several months . We didn't see any positive response and I have asked the group if it would be time to change the place and go to another area. God surprised us when on the 25th of the month a family from that area came to our gathering. And on the 29th, a girl who was living in sin and who was despised by the people because of her life came to ask how can she repent. By God's grace I continued every Thursday this month the discipleship with Alexandru, Florin and Maria. Every Sunday morning we meet to glorify God. Pray for us!

One of the visits was to a man in the hospital,who a few days later passed away. He left behind a wife and three children with age 11, 13 and 16. Because of the lack of workers, we can get to three villages only once a month. The groups in these villages are formed from children who came from unsaved families. In none of these villages are evangelical churches. Groups are the first step toward evangelism in these villages. In our time spent together we organize picnics and Bible lessons. - Evangelism group for girls named Naomi, also met this month with Elizabeth and Andrea.

I look forward to hearing from you. women and the boys went on the football field and interacted with youth in Coman and invited them to an evening youth program. It was a blessed week and also we could reach to needy families . In the last week of August, Drgnesti church organized a youth camp on the Black Sea. I could go with 5 young people from Comani (Loredana, Roxana, Gabi, Viorel, Ionut). They enjoyed a lot, especially as it was the first time when they could see the sea. The Lord worked in their heart and one of the boys was so glad that he prayed for the first time in his life. Another testified that God came into his life. Praise God!

August was a month full of activities and the ministry in Coman was truly blessed by the Lord. In early August we were visited by a girl from Germany, Anni. She stayed with us the whole month. The first week, with my wife, Anni organized a children's program. We made visits to those who come to church meetings in Comani. After Annie came to us, she wrote their German church blog her experience with God here. After a week, another brother, Mathias, who read what she wrote on the blog he decided to come and visit us. Hallelujah! The next visit was from a group of TPM organization (Youth With A Mission). They did street evangelism and survey. Every day we organized programs with children. And this was to their liking. On August 18th we were visited by a team from Calan, a school of discipleship (Life in Christ). They made their last 3 years of practice in Oltenia. We were greatly blessed by the Lord through them. They worked every day to the church building and we could build the drain system. They also served on street outreach and kids programs every day .
