D LAND efender Water Ingress D> Section 1 Inteoduction This manval has been developed to provide a method of rectifying water ingress problems found in Land Rover Defenders, with the aim of improving customer satisfaction. It provides a means of finding the source of water ingress along with the appropriate rectification method. ‘tis intended a8 2 service manaal only to be used by service eentres at approved Land Rover Dealers Assumptions It is assumed thatthe service technicians using the mancal will have a certain level of ‘expertise that will enable them to perform the rectification processes effectively. Two technicians shoud sit in the font and back ofthe vehicle watching for water Ieaks. Tf leak is spotted, the general area ofits origin i noted dow, Upon identification of a leak, the local area surrounding it is focused on. This involves one technician standing outside the vehicle spraying a hose atthe suspected water ingress trea. Simuitaneously, another techreian would be positioned inside the vehicte looking for the leak path.
