B. Qualifications for application: Applicants must meet the following qualifications and requirements of each school. 1. Status eligibility: (1) Applicants are neither Taiwan R.O.C. citizens nor overseas Chinese. (2) Applicants who had Taiwan R.O.C nationality, must have given up their Taiwan R.O.C. nationality for 8 years or more and approved by the Ministry of the Interior Taiwan R.O.C. During the time of application, applicants must have continuously resided abroad for more than 6 years (School of Medicine and School of Dentistry applicants, more than 8 years). (1) (2) 2. Educational eligibility: Applicants who have graduated from high schools abroad accredited by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan R.O.C. are eligible to apply (including high school seniors). Applicants who have graduated from international high schools or high schools with bilingual departments in Taiwan R.O.C. also are eligible to apply (including high school seniors). () () 3. Related enrollment regulations must comply with the International Students Studying in Taiwan Regulations from the Ministry of Education Taiwan R.O.C. and other related regulations C. Documents required : Documents required for application are different for each school, so please provide those documents required by the school you are applying to. If not in English or Chinese, the documents must be translated into English or Chinese in order to be reviewed. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. D. Interview: Some schools require telephone or webcam interviews. If an interview is required, the applicant will be notified via email or telephone of the time and date. Scholarship and tuition: Scholarship applicants must fill-out a Scholarship Application Form and send it with the entire application package or apply online. Early scholarship applications sent before January 13, 2012 will be reviewed first. The final deadline for scholarship application is April 13, 2012. Notification and requirements after acceptance: 1. Accepted students must produce their verified diplomas for validation during the registration period. 2. Students who have not received tuition waiver and monthly stipend scholarship will need to provide proof of financial support (US$15,000 or equivalent amount) stamped, sealed, and mailed by the bank. () Students must provide proof of medical and accidental insurance valid for four months from the first day of arrival in Taiwan. The insurance must cover any medical conditions or accidents that take place in Taiwan . International students will be required to purchase medical insurance (about US$80.00) if they do not provide proof of the insurance coverage described above. 4( -2-

If international students arrive after one-third of the semester has passed, they may not register that semester. 4. If an international student has previously dropped out from a college or university in Taiwan R.O.C., he /she may not apply to TMU. If an international student has been expelled from an educational institute in Taiwan R.O.C. for having failed the morality and conduct evaluation, failed academically, or sentenced for a criminal case, he/she may not apply for enrollment according to the rules and regulations set forth in this brochure. 5. All courses listed in this brochure are taught in Chinese and all exams must be written in Chinese (except for English classes). Some schools use English textbooks.

For applicants who have graduated from high school, an average of 80 or above (on a 100.00 scale) or a 3.2 GPA or above (on a 4.0 scale) based on all courses taken in high school is required.
