EXPERIENCE RIM Operating, Inc., Englewood, Colorado 5/99 to 12/12 Senior Landman Performed all land activity related to the drilling of over 350 CBM wells in the Powder River Basin, including negotiation and preparation of surface use agreements, operating agreements, title curative and division orders. Closed over 150 property acquisitions and divestitures, including preparation of purchase and sale agreements, letter agreements, conveyances, settlement statements and land due diligence.. Negotiated and prepared farmouts, participation agreements, operating agreements and surface use agreements for drilling in Texas and Wyoming. Responsible for land administration which includes functions associated with lease records, rentals and division orders. Cody Energy, Inc., Denver, Colorado 11/97 to 4/99 District Landman Member of multi-disciplined team responsible for managing all aspects of the properties and activities in South Texas as they related to the business plan, including P&L. Coordinated a 27 square mile 3-D seismic survey in a highly competitive area. Personally met with landowners, negotiated various trades including farmins, shoot-to-earn and participation agreements, and coordinated land brokers, permitting agents and surveyors. Negotiated and finalized an agreement whereby a party can shoot a 3-D seismic survey over 6500 HBP acres and drill to earn leasehold under complex earning provisions. Land Manager 10/94 to 11/97 Participated as a member of the management group in planning, directing and coordinating the overall goals and objectives of the company. Developed systems, personnel and procedures to maintain current activity and to anticipate future needs of the Land Department. Negotiated and prepared agreements for the onshore Gulf Coast regions of Louisiana and Texas, including farmouts, farmins, participation agreements, operating agreements, letter agreements, acquisition/divestiture agreements, unitization/pooling agreements, rights-of-way, surface damage agreements, oil and gas leases, and seismic options/permits. Assisted in preparation and marketing of drilling prospects to potential partners.

Manager, Property Administration 8/93 to 9/94 Coordinated the Land Departments move to Denver when Cody closed its Houston office. Responsible for hiring associates for Property Administration Department and developing an efficient team by providing training, direction and procedures. Negotiated and finalized settlement of title defects for an $80 million onshore Gulf Coast producing property acquisition from ARCO and assisted with settlement of environmental, accounting and operations issues. Negotiated purchase and sale agreements, coordinated all due diligence and closed the transactions for 45 divestitures covering 210 producing wells and total sales of $26 million. Coordinated land due diligence for the acquisition of Canadian producing properties and undeveloped acreage. Assisted in negotiation and drafting of purchase agreement for $26 million acquisition of a 20,000 acre waterflood unit. Managed land due diligence and assimilated all due diligence for closing. Assisted GW & Associates in the development of a land records system and organized the transfer of Codys land data base on to the new system. Presidio Exploration, Inc., Englewood, Colorado 1/88 to 7/93 Corporate Lease Administration Manager Managed land acquisition teams for property acquisitions in excess of $390 million, and divestitures exceeding $75 million, including due diligence, conveyances, mortgages, curative and transition. The properties were primarily located in the Rockies, Mid-Continent and Williston Basin. Responsible for supervision of land administration, including lease records, division orders, and corporate land reporting for the Company and its subsidiaries. Designed and implemented a computerized land records system for management of 14,000+ leases, which significantly reduced employment needs and simplified acreage inventory, budgeting, acreage evaluation and corporate reporting and ensured accuracy of the lease data.
