What Is Corrotech Qatar Fly Ash? Corrotech Qatar only selects Fly Ash that is highly reactive and has waterreducing characteristics. Its Fly Ash is amongst the first classified material being made available in the market. How Fly Ash Works In Concrete? The use of Fly Ash can remarkably improve the performance of the concrete. When cement hydrates it produces quantities of free lime (Calcium Hydroxide). Fly Ash chemically reacts with this free lime to form stable calcium silicate hydrates (CSH), which is the strongest most durable paste fraction in concrete. These hydrates fill the voids within the concrete thereby improving the concrete strength and durability. Fly Ash concrete is also easier to work with due to the fine and spherical particles, which reduces the water requirement and creates a lubricating effect that causes concrete to flow and pump better.
