Con respecto a la especie de nematodo, se encontr que Steinernema est
presente en suelos con textura areno-limoso con 25.7%, franco-arenoso con
14.3%, franco, franco-limoso y arcilloso con 8.6%, franco-arcillo-arenoso y no
analizadas con 2.8%. Mientras que Heterorhabditis est en suelos areno-limoso y
franco-limoso con 8.6%, franco-arenoso, franco-arcilloso, arcilloso una muestra no
analizada con 2.8% de las muestras, respectivamente (Cuadro 10, Figura 16).

Con relacin al tipo de textura en cada uno de los estados analizados
Colima registr 20 muestras de suelo con 57.1%; sobresale la textura areno-
limoso con 31.4%(11/35), siguindole franco-arenoso y arcilloso con 8.6% (3/35) y
el resto de las texturas fueron franco-limoso, franco-arcillo-arenoso y franco-
arcilloso con 2.8% (1/35), respectivamente; Jalisco se encontraron nueve
muestras de suelo con 25.7%, sobresaliendo la textura franco-limoso con 8.6%
(3/35), le sigue la textura franca con 5.7% y una muestra areno-limoso, franco-
arenoso, arcilloso y una muestra no analizada con 2.8%; Michoacn fueron cinco
muestras de suelo con 14.3%, sobresaliendo la textura franco-limoso 5.7% (3/35)
y con una muestra franco-arenoso, franco y la no analizada con 2.8%. Nayarit solo
se encontr un suelo de textura franco-arenoso con el 2.8% (Figura 17).

4.8. Altitud sobre el nivel del mar (msnm)
La presencia de nematodos en funcin de la altitud se pudo observar que
existe una mayor cantidad muestras con nematodos a una menor altitud de 500
msnm con 37.1%, le sigue en importancia de 1001-1500 msnm con 28.6%,
siguindole 1501-2000 msnm con un 14.3%, entre 501-1000 msnm con 11.4% y
solamente una muestra por arriba de los 2000 msnm. As como dos muestras no
analizadas (Figura 18).

La presencia de nematodos se localiz desde 33 hasta los 2220 msnm;
con relacin a Steinernema se registr la mayor incidencia a 1001-1500 msnm
con 22.8%, le sigue en importancia a menos de 500 msnm con 20%, 1501-2000
msnm con 14.35 y en menor proporcin a 501-1000 msnm con 8.6%; mientras
que Heterorhabditis tiene la mayor cantidad a menos de 500 msnm con 17.1%,
siguendole de 501-1000 msnm, 1001-1500 msnm y a ms de 2000 msnm con
2.8% de las muestras, respectivamente (Cuadro 10, Figura 19).

4.9. Virulencia de cepas y aislados de nematodos entomopatgenos
Con la finalidad de determinar la(s) especie(s) de nematodos mas
virulenta(s) y la susceptibilidad de larvas de tercer instar de A. ludens.
El anlisis de varianza de los datos de porcentaje de mortalidad acumulada,
mostr diferencias altamente significativas para las fuentes principales (F= 40.36;
gl= 119, 479; P<0.0001), al descomponer los factores de interaccin mostr
diferencias altamente significativas para los factores: tiempo de exposicin (F=
399.59; gl= 119, 479; P<0.0001), nematodos (F= 125.99; gl= 23, 479; P<0.0001) y
la interaccin tiempo-nematodo (F= 3.34; gl= 119, 479; P<0.0001).

El anlisis varianza mostr diferencias altamente significativas entre los
nematodos evaluados con respecto al tiempo; se presenta la evolucin de la tasa
de mortalidad larval con cada uno de los aislados (Cuadro 11).
Se evaluaron 23 nematodos entomopatgenos de los cuales 17 son nativos
y seis exticos; estos pertenecen al gnero Steinernema con 12 aislados y cepas
y Heterorhabditis con 11 aislados y cepas. Los resultados experimentales,
permitieron determinar 13 aislados de nematodos nativos (steinernematidos y
heterorhabditidos) evaluados presentaron una mayor actividad entomopatgena
que los nematodos exticos sobre larvas del tercer instar de A. ludens.
Los aislados de nematodos entomopatgenos que mostraron una mayor
virulencia sobre larvas de tercer instar registraron doce niveles de significativas.
Los porcentajes de mortalidad acumulada fluctuaron de 51.1 hasta 90.6% de
mortalidad, respectivamente; sobresaliendo Heterorhabditis HC10a, Steinernema
SM46, SM45, SC1b, SC3b, Heterorhabditis HC22 y HC10c con una mortalidad de
80.5 hasta 90.6%. En tanto, que las especies menos virulentas fueron H. megidis y
S. riobrave con 55.7% y 51.1% de mortalidad, respectivamente.
La evolucin del porcentaje de mortalidad registradas a las 24 horas, el
anlisis mostr diferencias altamente significativas el cual registr seis niveles de
significancia (F=23.88; gl= 23, 72; P<0.0001) con una mortalidad 22.2 hasta
68.8%; los nematodos mas virulentos fueron Steinernema SM45 con 68.8%,
siguiendo en importancia Steinernema SC3b con 66% de mortalidad el cual no
tiene diferencias con Heterorhabditis HC10a, HC10c, HC10b, HC21c, HC5, HC23,
HC21 o Steinernema SM46, SC3a, SC20a, S. carpocapsae LDV, All, S. feltiae
Fla. Con respecto a los dems nematodos, existen diferencias con los aislados de
Heterorhabditis HC21c, HJ31, H. megidis y S. riobrave (Cuadro 12).

En tanto que, a las 48 horas de la inoculacin registr diferencias altamente
significativas con nueve niveles (F=27.98; gl= 23, 72; P<0.0001), que tienen una
mortalidad de 44.2 hasta 92.8%; sobresaliendo los aislados de Heterorhabditis
HC10a, HC22, HC5, HC21c y Steinernema SM46, SM45, SC1b, SC3a, SC20a y
los menos virulentos H. megidis y S. riobrave con 45 y 44.2% de mortalidad.
Se observ a las 72 horas diferencias significativas (F=27.96; gl= 23, 72;
P<0.0001) con nueve niveles de significancia con una mortalidad de 46.7 hasta
96.4%; siendo los nematodos mas sobresalientes los nematodos de
Heterorhabditis HC10a, HC22, HC10c, HC23, HC21c, HC5 y Steinernema SM46,
SM45, SC1b, SC3a y los nematodos menos virulentos H. megidis y S. riobrave
con 51.6% y 46.7% de mortalidad, respectivamente.
A las 96 horas de la inoculacin existen diferencias significativas (F=25.39;
gl= 23, 72; P<0.0001) con siete niveles de significancia los cuales registran una
mortalidad 61.6 al 100%. Adems, 14 nematodos fueron los mas sobresalientes
de Heterorhabditis HC10a, HC23, HC22, HC21a, HC10c, HC21c, HC10b, HC5 y
Steinernema SM46, SC3a, SC1b, SC20a, SM45 y los nematodos menos
virulentos H. megidis y S. riobrave con 64.9 y 61.6% de mortalidad,
respectivamente.
La mortalidad acumulada a las 120 horas, despus de la inoculacin
existen diferencias significativas (F=34.70; gl= 23, 72; P<0.0001) con tres niveles
de significancia y una mortalidad 81 hasta 100%. Se observ que once nematodos
alcanzaron el 100% de mortalidad siendo ocho de Heterorhabditis HC10c, HC21a,
HC23, HC10a, HC5, HC10b, HC21c, HC22; as como tres de Steinernema SC1b
SC3a y SM46; adems los nematodo que presentaron la menor mortalidad fueron
H. megidis y S. riobrave con 86.1 y 81.0%.
4.9.1. Tiempo letal 50 de nematodos evaluados sobre larvas de A. ludens
Los nematodos que presentaron porcentajes de mortalidad superior al 50%
se les realiz anlisis de regresin, entre el logaritmo del tiempo de infeccin y el

probit de la mortalidad, para a partir de la ecuacin formada, calcular sus tiempos
letales 50%. Como se observa en el (Cuadro 13).
Los valores obtenidos para cada uno de los nematodos entomopatgenos
evaluados donde se puede observar el TL
50
de los 23 aislados, se encuentran
comprendidos entre 13.5 y 62.3 horas. Los valores con el menor TL
50
corresponden a las cepas SM45 y SC3b que presentaron los tiempos letales ms
precoces, correspondiendo estos a 13.5 y 14.8 horas, respectivamente.
Los mayores valores registrados de los nematodos evaluados fueron H.
megidis y S. riobrave con 54.4 y 62.3 horas, respectivamente. Se observa que las
cepas que presentan mayor pendiente fueron de los gneros Heterorhabditis
HC10b y Steinernema SC1b, S. carpocapsae LDV, SC3b y SM45 con valores de
16.0, 15.6, 15.5, 14.8 y 13.5 horas, respectivamente. Lo cual indica que presentan
una respuesta ms homognea, a pequeos incrementos de tiempo hay grandes
incrementos en la mortalidad de los insectos.
Adems, se observ que 16 de los 23 nematodos evaluados registraron un

menor a las 24 horas; por otro lado, se encontr a dos de los nematodos
evaluados con un TL
50
mayor a las 48 horas siendo H. megidis y S. riobrave con
valores de 54.4 y 62.3 horas.
4.10. Virulencia de nematodos a larvas de A. ludens en botes con
suelo estril.
Los resultados experimentales, permitieron determinar que los seis
nematodos evaluados presentan actividad entomopatgena sobre larvas del tercer
estadio de A. ludens en un suelo estril.
El anlisis de varianza de los datos de porcentaje de mortalidad acumulada,
mostr diferencias altamente significativas para las fuentes principales (F= 79.96;
gl= 34, 139; P<0.0001), al descomponer los factores de interaccin mostr
diferencias altamente significativas para los factores: tiempo de exposicin (F=
429.07; gl= 24, 139; P<0.0001), nematodos (F= 115.07; gl= 6, 139; P<0.0001) y la
interaccin tiempo-nematodo (F= 12.99; gl= 24, 139; P<0.0001).

Los nematodos entomopatgenos mostraron una mayor virulencia para el
estado de larva sobre un suelo estril registrndose tres niveles de significancia.
Los porcentajes de mortalidad acumulada fluctuaron de 35.4 hasta 51.4%,
respectivamente; sobresaliendo Heterorhabditis HC21c, HM56, HC5 y S.
carpocapsae Mex. En tanto, las especies menos virulentas fueron S. carpocapsae
All y Steinernema SC8 con 37.0 y 35.4% de mortalidad, respectivamente (Cuadro
14).

Con respecto a la evolucin de la tasa de mortalidad para cada uno de los
nematodos evaluados con respecto al tiempo, se observ que los nematodos de
Heterorhabditis cepas HC21c y HC5 causaron la mayor mortalidad de larvas de
Anastrepha de 15 y 13.5% respectivamente, a partir de las 48 y 96 horas de la
inoculacin; mientras que S. carpocapsae All y la cepa SC8 alcanzaron 3.6 y 0%
de mortalidad despus de la inoculacin. Adems, se observ que de los seis
nematodos evaluados registraban menos del 50% de mortalidad de las larvas a
las 96 horas (Cuadro 15).

En tanto que, a las 144 horas de la inoculacin existen diferencias
significativas con tres niveles de significancia de los nematodos tenan arriba del
50% de mortalidad, sobresaliendo Heterorhabditis HM56, HC21c, HC5 y S.
carpocapsae Mex; mientras que S. carpocapsae All un 36.2%.
Adems, a las 192 horas los nematodos mostraron diferencias significativas
siendo los mas virulentos Heterorhabditis HC5 y HC21c quienes presentan 74.8 y
73.4% de mortalidad, respectivamente; mientras que el nematodo de Steinernema
cepa SC8 con 56.5% de mortalidad.
Por ultimo, la mortalidad acumulada a las 240 horas, se observ diferencias
significativas sobresaliendo Heterorhabditis HC21c con una mortalidad de 96.4%.
Tres nematodos de Heterorhabditis HC21c, HM56 y HC5 registraron una
mortalidad por arriba del 86% y el nematodo con la menor mortalidad fue
Steinernema cepa SC8 con 70.6%.

El anlisis de varianza de los porcentajes de mortalidad acumulada, mostr
diferencias altamente significativas para las fuentes principales (F= 251.42; gl= 34,
139; P<0.0001), al descomponer los factores de interaccin mostr diferencias
altamente significativas para los factores: tiempo de exposicin (F= 1502.12; gl=
24, 139; P<0.0001), nematodos (F= 235.30; gl= 6, 139; P<0.0001) y la interaccin
tiempo-nematodo (F= 47.00; gl= 24, 139; P<0.0001).
La separacin de medias de la mortalidad total de pupas registr cuatro
niveles de significancia, el primero lo componen los nematodos Steinernema SC8
y Heterorhabditis HC5 con 43.8 y 43.1% de mortalidad; que estadsticamente es
igual a los del segundo bloque que lo componen Heterorhabditis HC56, HC21c y
S. carpocapsae Mex con 36.7 hasta 43.8% de mortalidad, respectivamente. El
tercer bloque lo compone el nematodo S. carpocapsae All con 30.9% de
mortalidad y por ltimo el cuarto bloque compuesto por el testigo que no presento
mortalidad natural (Cuadro 16).

Se presenta la evolucin de la tasa de mortalidad de pupas con cada uno
de los nematodos evaluados, donde se observan diferencias significativas,
sobresaliendo cuatro nematodos nativos por arriba de 50% de mortalidad. El
nematodo mas sobresaliente fue Heterorhabditis cepa HM56 con 56.4% de las
pupas a las 144 horas de la inoculacin mientras que S. carpocapsae All solo
28.4% de mortalidad despus de la inoculacin (Cuadro 17).
En tanto que, a las 192 horas de la inoculacin cuatro nematodos tenan
arriba del 60% de mortalidad; mientras que S. carpocapsae All no super el
56.2%. Sin embargo, a las 240 horas los nematodos Steinernema SC8 y
Heterorhabditis HC21c alcanzaron el 91.3% de mortalidad mientras que el
nematodo S. carpocapsae All solo 69.6%.

V. Discusiones
Los nematodos entomopatgenos son agentes de control biolgico que han
sido un foco de investigacin desde que Glaser demostr su potencial como
agentes de control de insectos plaga (Glaser, 1931; 1932). Posteriormente, se ha
intensificado su investigacin sobre la patogenicidad de los nematodos, funcin de
la bacteria simbionte y mecanismos de defensa de los insectos los cuales se han
desarrollado en diferentes laboratorios especialmente en Europa y Estados Unidos
de Norteamrica. Con el progreso de la produccin a gran escala en medio lquido
(Ehlers, 2001a) la investigacin se ha expandido en muchas direcciones. Los
nematodos entomopatgenos representan una parte importante del gran espectro
de los bioplaguicidas. Ellos han sido utilizados para el control de insectos plaga en
cultivos de alto valor econmico y pueden ser utilizados a gran escala en sistemas
agrcolas sostenibles.
Aunque el uso de nematodos entomopatgenos como agentes de biocontrol
ha aumentado en las ltimas dcadas, todava es restringido a cultivos con alto
valor econmico que cubren una proporcin pequea del mercado de la
agricultura en el mundo. Adems de los factores econmicos, la expansin
restringida del uso de nematodos entomopatgenos como agentes de biocontrol
es debido a varios factores intrnsecos como los biticos y no biticos. Cuando el
inters aumenta sobre el uso de nematodos indgenas o exticos, el conocimiento
de su ecologa y requisitos ambientales especficos de cada especie o cepa de
nematodo que se quiera usar como agente de biocontrol.
En este estudio se confirma la hiptesis de que en la Zona Centro
Occidente y el Golfo de Mxico se encuentran nematodos entomopatgenos;
dichos agentes se recuperaron en hbitats de suelos cultivados con maz,
asociacin maz-sorgo, sorgo forrajero, limn mexicano, coco gigante, coco
hbrido, mango y naranja. No se encontr ninguno de estos agentes en el pasto
Sudn y sorgo para grano en forma natural.
Los nematodos que se aislaron e identificaron al nivel de gnero 23.8%

(35/147) y corresponden a la familia Steinernematidae y Heterorhabditidae. Los
nematodos del gnero Steinernema se encontraron de manera mas frecuente que
Heterorhabditis; 71.4% de Steinernema sp. y 28.6% de Heterorhabditis sp.
5.1 Presencia de nematodos entomopatgenos
La presencia de estos nematodos en la zona Centro Occidente de Mxico
confirma su distribucin cosmopolita, pues han sido aislados en suelos de muchos
pases, como Puerto Rico (Roman y Beauvers, 1983), Islas Hawaianas (Hara et
al., 1991), Egipto (Shamseldeam y Abdelgawad, 1994), Italia (Deseo et al., 1988),
Suecia (Burman et al., 1986), Suiza (Steiner, 1994), Checoslovaquia (Mracek
1980), en Guadalupe (Deseo et al., 1988), Gran Bretaa (Hominick y Briscoe,
1990), Mxico (Lezama et al., 2001; Molina et al., 2003).
El gnero de nematodos Steinernema es reportado en Uruguay (Nguyen y
Smart, 1988), Cuba (Mracek et al., 1994), Puerto Rico (Romn y Figueroa, 1994),
Texas EUA (Cabanillas et al., 1994), Espaa (Doucet y Gabarra, 1994), Mxico
(Lezama et al., 2001, Molina et al., 2003) y Jamaica (Constant et al., 1998). El
gnero Heterorhabditis es menos abundante que Steinernema se reporta en
irlanda, Escocia e Inglaterra (Griffin et al., 1994), en Finlandia (Vanninen y El
Awady, 1994), Mxico (Lezama et al., 2001, Molina et al., 2003) y Nueva Jersey,
EUA (Stuart y Gaugler, 1994).
La presencia de nematodos entomopatgenos con 23.8% es mayor a lo
reportado Ehlers et al., (1991) en Alemania (1.2%), Boag et al., (1992) Escocia
(2.2%), Blackshaw et al., (1988) en Irlanda del norte (3.8%), Rosa et al. (2000) en
Azores (3.9%), Choo et al., (1995) en Corea (4.6%), Ehlers et al., (1991) en Italia
(5%), Deseo et al., (1988) de Italia (6%), Midituri et al., (1996) al este de Blgica
(6.1%), Hara et al., (1991) en las islas de Hawai (6.8%), Belair et al., (2001) en
Qubec (9.1%), Shamseldean y Abd-Elgawad (1994) en Egipto (9.5%), Yoshida et
al., (1998) en Japn (10%), Griffin et al., (1991) en Irlanda (10.5%), Liu y Berry
(1995) en Oregn (11.8%), Midituri et al., (1996) al Oeste de Holanda (12.3%),
Gwynn y Richardson (1996) en Gran Bretaa (12.8%), Stock (1995) en la regin

pampera de Argentina (13.2%), Downes y Griffin ((1991) en Israel y Escocia
(13.7%), Rueda et al., (1993) en Tennessee (15%), Mracek y Webster (1993) al
oeste de Canada (20%), Akhurst y Brooks, (1984) en Carolina del Norte (20.2%),
Garcia del Pino (1996) en la regin de Catalua de Espaa (23.3%).
Sin embargo, esta proporcin esta por debajo de lo reportado por otros
autores; Burman et al., (1986) en Suecia (25%), Stock et al., (1999) en California
(26.3%), Steiner (1996) en los Alpes Suizos (27%), Armarasinghe et al., (1994) en
el suroeste de la zona costera de Sri Lanka (30%). La mayor presencia fue
observada por Sturhan y Liscova (1999) en la Republica Eslovaca (36%), Mracek
(1980) en Checoslovaquia (36.8%), y Hominick y Briscoe (1990) en Inglaterra
(48.6%).
Rosa et al. (2000) encontraron nematodos del gnero Steinernema y
Heterorhabditis solo en el grupo del Oeste y central de Azores. Heterorhabditis
est presente en seis de las nueve islas, en tanto que Steinernema se encuentra
solo en tres. La distribucin del archipilago no muestra ser un artefacto resultante
del nmero de muestras tomadas de cada isla porque en Sao miguel, donde la
densidad de las muestras fue menor, ambos gneros se encontraron.
En contraste, los steinernematidos dominaron en pocos estudios en Europa
(Burman et al., 1986; Griffin et al., 1991; Hominick et al., 1995; Steiner, Garcia del
Pino, 1996 y Yoshida et al., 1998). Una gran proporcin de Heterorhabditis sobre
Steinernema han sido reportados de las islas de Hawaii, donde el 92% de las
muestras positivas fueron Heterorhabditis (Hara et al., 1991), Egipto
(Shamseldean y Abd-Elgawad, 1994), Sri Lanka (Amarasinghe et al., 1994) y
Puerto Rico (Romn y Figueroa, 1995) en las indias occidentales francesas.
5.2. Tipo de hbitat
La presencia de nematodos steinernematidos y heterorhabditidos con
respecto al tipo de hbitat analizado registr la mayor presencia en el cultivo de
maz, limn mexicano y palma gigante dichos resultados coinciden con lo
reportado por Mracek et al., (1999) quienes encontraron a nematodos

steinernematidos ms frecuente en muestras de hbitats de rboles frutales
(orillas de camino y huertas), en hbitat probable-virgen, bosques y hbitat de
bosques deciduos, fueron ms del 50% de los sitios muestreo, contenan
nematodos entomopatgenos.
Sin embargo, Stock et al., (1999) localizan nematodos en bosques de
conferas (33.8%) y de roble (33.8%). Las costas pantanosas y pastizales
produjeron el resto de muestras positivas (23.9% y 8.5%, respectivamente). Los
resultados sugieren que hay una incidencia mayor de nematodos
entomopatgenos en suelos cultivados, lo cual es respaldado por Kaukeland
(1993); Choo et al., (1995) y Garca y Palomo (1995), quienes encontraron un
mayor porcentaje de recuperacin en suelos cultivados.
Hominick y Briscoe (1990a) en un estudio de suelos de Reino Unido no
encontraron ninguna evidencia de la temporada en la incidencia de nematodos
cuando ellos examinaron varios hbitats por dos aos. Ellos sealan que la
vegetacin quizs sea la causa de la persistencia de S. bibionis (= S. feltiae);
suelos de bordos de csped o pastos quienes encontraron ms muestras positivas
que los suelos de otros hbitats.
Griffin et al., (1991) analizaron los resultados de un rango de inspecciones
de suelo y concluyen que haba la evidencia de la temporada. Ellos sugirieron que
los nematodos se recuperaron de todos los tipos hbitats probados en Irlanda, no
haba la asociacin significativa entre el hbitat y la frecuencia de la recuperacin.
5.3. Caractersticas fsico-qumicas del suelo
5.3.1. pH del suelo
La presencia de nematodos entomopatgenos en funcin del pH de suelo
registrado en este estudio se observ en cinco tipos de pH para Steinernema y
Heterorhabditis en suelos desde fuertemente cidos, moderadamente cidos,
cidos y alcalinos. Sin embargo Rosa et al., (2000) observaron que
Heterorhabditis est presente mas frecuentemente en suelos con bajo contenido
de materia orgnica y un pH ms alcalino que Steinernema. Por su parte, Steiner

(1996) tambin reporta una distribucin relacionada al pH del suelo entre las
especies de Steinernema.
En trminos de tolerancia del pH, los nematodos entomopatgenos fueron
encontrados en suelos con un pH (pH 5) a ligeramente alcalino (pH 7.2). Esto
coincide con otros estudios donde el pH de las muestras positivas con nematodos,
vara de 4.6 a 8 (Hara et al., 1991; Griffin et al., 1994). Para el pH, se aislaron
nematodos entomopatgenos de los suelos levemente cidos (pH 5.6) a
levemente alcalinos (pH 7.9).
Esto coincide con otros estudios donde el pH del suelo con la presencia de
nematodos vari a partir el 4.6 a 8 (Mracek y Becvar 1988; Hara et al. 1991; Griffin
et al. 1994). Downes y Griffin (1991) encontraron al nematodo Heterorhabditis en
la zona costera en un pH de 4.6 a 8.1. Figueroa et al., (1991) determinaron la
presencia de nematodos en un pH del suelo promedio de 4.8 a 9.2. Hara et al.,
(1991) encontraron a Heterorhabditis sp. y Steinernema sp., en suelos que
contenan granos de arena, coral y concha, con pH moderadamente alcalino (8.0).
Rueda et al., (1993) reportan la presencia de S. carpocapsae y H. bacteriophora
en un suelo con pH, 5.6 a 6.2. Amarasinghe y Hominick (1993) sealan la
presencia de Steinernema y Heterorhabditis sp., en la zona costera en suelos con
un pH entre 7.8 a 8.9. Amarashinge et al., (1994) reportan un pH de estos suelos
entre 3.5 a 5.1 en la zona costera de Sri Lanka.
Vnninen et al., 1989 reportan que el pH de las muestras promedi 5.97,
sealan que este factor tenga algn efecto significativo sobre la existencia de los
patgenos, aunque fueron encontrados significativamente ms en suelos de
humus, que en otro tipo de suelo.
Los suelos de los sitios positivos tienen un rango de pH de 4.0-8.1. S. feltiae
y la especie B3 fueron aisladas de suelos cidos y neutros (pH 4.2-7.1), S. affinis
se encontr en suelos neutros y alcalinos (pH 6.5-8.1). El nematodo
Heterorhabditis esta presente en suelo casi neutro (pH 6.8) (Miduturi et al. 1996).

Los valores de pH para S. feltiae (6.4 1.2), S. intermedia (6.2 0.7), S.
affinis (6.9 0.4), Heterorhabditis sp. (6.5) y Steinernema sp. (7.8), lo que sugiere
que estas especies evitan condiciones de pH del suelo extremas (Steiner, 1996).
Miduturi et al. (1997a) reportan que los aislados se encontraron en suelos con un
rango de pH de 3.6-7.8. Sin embargo, la mayora de las poblaciones de S. feltiae
fueron aisladas de suelos cidos
Constant et al. (1998) sealan que los nematodos estan ms frecuentes en
pH 8.0-9.3, los cuales corresponden a hbitats de playa de arena calcrea.
Stock et al. (1999) sealan que los steinernematidos fueron encontrados en
suelos franco-arenosos, que promediaron de cido (pH 5.0) a neutro. El pH de los
suelos fue similar para aquellos de H. bacteriophora (6.3-7.2).
5.3.2. Conductividad elctrica
La conductividad es la medida de la capacidad que tiene un material para
conducir la corriente elctrica. Las soluciones nutritivas contienen partculas
inicas que llevan cargas y por lo tanto poseen esta habilidad. Cuanto mayor es la
cantidad de estos iones disueltos en el agua la conductividad de la solucin
resultante es mayor. Por lo tanto, la medicin de la conductividad elctrica de una
solucin nutritiva tiene una relacin directa con la cantidad de materiales slidos
disociados que hay disueltos en ella.
Rueda et al. (1993) sealan la presencia de H. bacteriophora a una
conductividad elctrica promedi de 0.006-0.013 S/m, adems presenta a S.
carpocapsae con una conductividad elctrica promedi de 0.004-0.006 S/m
Hara et al., (1991) encontraron a Heterorhabditis sp. en suelos con salinidad
promedia de 996124 micromho
5.3.3. Materia orgnica
La materia orgnica es la fraccin orgnica del suelo excluyendo residuos
vegetales y animales sin descomponer; entre sus componentes se incluyen los
residuos vegetales y animales en descomposicin (10-20%), la biomasa

microbiana (1-5%) y el humus (50-85%). La importancia de la materia orgnica
radica en su relacin con numerosas propiedades del suelo: fsicas, qumicas y
biolgicas. El contenido de materia orgnica de los suelos es determinado por los
factores formadores del suelo (tiempo, clima, vegetacin, material madre,
topografa, manejo). La materia orgnica forma parte del ciclo del nitrgeno, del
azufre y del fsforo, contribuye a la asimilacin de nutrientes, mejora la estructura
y la retencin de agua del suelo y da soporte a todo un mundo de
microorganismos cuya actividad resulta beneficiosa para el cultivo.
Vnninen et al. (1989) mencionan un contenido de materia orgnica de
8.9%. Downes y Griffin (1991) sealan que la M.O flucta de 3 a 7%. Figueroa et
al., (1991) reportan de 0.15 a 15.2%. Rueda et al. (1993) promedian 2.1-2.6%.
Miduturi et al. (1996) registran un rango de 1.2-8.4%. Miduturi et al. (1997a)
muestran desde un 3.1-35.0%. Stock et al. (1999) varan de 2.4% a 7.1%.
5.3.4. Nitrgeno
Este es el caso del nitrgeno cuyas formas inorgnicas son todas solubles
independientemente del pH reinante por lo que no debera verse afectada su
asimilabilidad. Sin embargo para valores de pH inferiores a 6 o superiores a 8 se
atena la actividad bacteriana con lo que disminuye tanto la liberacin de amonio
como su oxidacin a nitrato y ello hace bajar la concentracin de nitrgeno en
forma asimilable.
Los nematodos entomopatgenos steinernematidos y heterorhabditidos se
caracterizan principalmente por tener en promedio 0.08% de nitrgeno, con un
rango de 0.03-0.26%; lo cual coincide con lo reportado por Shapiro-Ilan et al.,
(2003) quienes mencionan rangos similares de 0.04 hasta 0.15% donde aislaron a
los nematodos S. carpocapsae, S. glaseri, S. riobrave y H. bacteriophora en un
estudio realizado en Georgia de huertos con nogal.
5.3.5. Fsforo
En el caso del fsforo el pH puede inducir su fijacin o su precipitacin, solo
entre valores comprendidos entre 6.5 y 7.5 su asimilabilidad es ptima. Cuando el

pH se sita por debajo de 6.5, se inicia un incremento en el contenido en cargas
positivas del complejo absorbente, ello provoca una fuerte fijacin de los aniones
sobre todo el fosfato, por poseer una estructura similar a los tetraedros
estructurales de las arcillas, puede incorporarse a ellas; este hecho provoca una
inmovilizacin definitiva del mismo.
Los nematodos entomopatgenos steinernematidos y heterorhabditidos se
caracterizan principalmente por tener en promedio 4.59mg de fsforo con un rango
que flucta de 1.1-7.0mg. Estos resultados se encuentran por debajo de los
niveles reportados por Shapiro-Ilan et al., (2003) quienes mencionan a los
nematodos steinernematidos y heterorhabditidos con rangos de 95.9-195 mg de
fsforo.
5.3.6. Potasio
La presencia de nematodos en funcin del contenido de potasio sobresalen
aquellas que tienen muy bajo contenido de potasio con 26, 22, 14%,
respectivamente. As como un 4% de las muestras que no se analizaron.
Los nematodos entomopatgenos steinernematidos y heterorhabditidos se
caracterizan por tener en promedio 69.07cmol de potasio, con un rango que
flucta de 45.5-180cmol. Estos resultados se encuentra por debajo de los
reportados por Shapiro-Ilan et al., (2003) quienes mencionan para nematodos un
rango de 209.9-676.1 cmol.
5.3.7. Calcio
La presencia de nematodos steinernematidos y heterorhabditidos se
caracterizan principalmente por tener 681.74 cmol de calcio, con un rango que
fluctu de 220-3000 cmol de calcio. Es resultados se encuentran por debajo de lo
reportado por Shapiro-Ilan et al., (2003) quienes mencionan rangos de 1147-
9163cmol de calcio para nematodos S. glaseri tiene 83.14 cmol de calcio.

5.4. Textura del suelo
La textura del suelo determina el tamao de poro y la capacidad de
retencin de la humedad del suelo, ello afecta la movilidad de los nematodos y la
persistencia (Molineux y Bedding, 1984). En este estudio la mayor cantidad de
nematodos encontrados fueron localizados en 24 de las 35 muestras sobresalen
los suelos areno-limoso, franco-limoso y franco-arenoso.
El nematodo Steinernema se localiz en suelos con texturas areno-limoso y
franco-arenoso, en tanto que Heterorhabditis se encontr en suelos con texturas
areno-limoso y franco-limoso, aunque en menor frecuencia, lo que indica que los
nematodos del gnero Steinernema tiene ms hbitats con diferentes tipos de
suelos, tal vez esto explica porque se encontr en menor proporcin al nematodo
Heterorhabditis.
Con relacin a otros estudios (Hara et al., 1991, Griffin et al., 1994), en este
estudio demostr que los suelos areno-limoso y franco-arenosos parecen ser los
tipos de suelo preferidos para los nematodos entomopatgenos. Esto est
apoyado por el hecho de la movilidad y la supervivencia de los nematodos
entomopatgenos es favorecido en suelos con un alto contenido de arena,
mientras que los suelos con alto contenido de arcilla restringen los movimientos
del nematodo (Molyneux y Bedding 1984; Kung et al. 1990).
En el Reino Unido, los steinernematidos se asocian particularmente con
suelos que tienen un horizonte de subsuelo calcreo (Hominick y Briscoe, 1990b);
suelos con mucha agua los hacen suelos altos en materia orgnica. Vanninen et
al., (1989) en suelos cultivados en Finlandia encontraron una alta incidencia de
steinernematidos en suelos de humus que en suelos de cualquier otro tipo: ellos
no encontraron nematodos en suelos arcillosos. Su baja incidencia en suelos
arcillosos haba sido notada por Burman et al., (1986) en Suecia y Blackshaw
(1988) en Irlanda.
Generalmente, los nematodos entomopatgenos se han aislado de suelos
con alto contenido de arena y bajo contenido de arcilla. En nuestro estudio, la

mayora de las muestras con nematodos eran suelos arenosos a franco arenoso.
Estos resultados son similares a los reportados por otros investigadores
(Blackshaw, 1988; Hominick y Briscoe, 1990; Griffin et al., 1991; Hara et al., 1991;
Liu y Berry, 1995; Midituri et al., 1997; y Stock et al., 1999).
En Suiza, los steinernematidos tienen una alta incidencia en suelos con
humus que en arena, francos o suelos arcillosos (Burman et al., 1986). En Irlanda
del Norte. S. bibionis fue recuperado ms frecuente en suelos francos (arcilla
calcrea), menos en franco arcilloso, en suelos pantanosos y nunca de suelos
arcillosos (Blackshaw, 1988). En general, los steinernematidos y los
heterorhabditidos son ms efectivos en suelos porosos bien drenados, con bajo
contenido de materia orgnica (Akhurst, 1986). El hallazgo ms centrado fue la
asociacin de los steinernematidos con suelos calcreos, especialmente aquellos
con un subsuelo de horizonte calcreo. La presencia o ausencia de calcio,
usualmente como carbonato de calcio en la forma arcilla calcrea (franco) o limo,
es un factor importante en el medio ambiente del suelo (Dowdswell, 1987).
Aunque muchos Heterorhabditis fueron extrados de muestras de suelo
cercanos al nivel del mar, estos suelos tienen un alto porcentaje de arena. Estos
suelos son muy similares a estos en donde se encontr a Steinernema esta
bsqueda fue completamente diferente de las observadas en Hawai (Hara et al.,
1991), Irlanda (Blackshaw, 1988; Griffin et al., 1991), y Suecia (Bruman et al.,
1986). Donde Heterorhabditis se encontr en suelos arenosos y Steinernema en
suelos limosos.
La evidencia comienza a sostener el panorama que la familia
Heterorhabditidae son endmicos a climas calientes mientras que
Steinernematidae prevalece en regiones templadas. En Israel, los
heterorhabditidos han sido encontrados, en suelos arenosos, bajo la sombra de
rboles irrigados de albaricoque en el desierto de Negev (Glazer et al., 1991). Los
resultados negativos se obtuvieron cundo las muestras se tomaron de suelos
menos aireados, an cundo estaba hmedo, o de suelos arenosos pero secas.
En las islas de Hawaii, veintids sitios fueron positivos para Heterorhabditis spp.;

su incidencia fue mas correlacionada con los sitios de muestreo dentro de los 100
metros de la orilla del mar. Las suelos eran moderadamente alcalinos (pH 8.0) y
bajo contenido orgnico (12%). El nico aislado de Steinernema vino de reas del
interior donde los suelos eran franco arcilloso y franco limoso con mayor contenido
orgnico (15-35 %) (Hara et al., 1991).
5.5. Altitud
La altitud tiene una influencia clara sobre la distribucin de ambos gneros
en las islas. Heterorhabditis fue mas abundante de las muestras de suelo en
altitudes bajas, y su abundancia relativa disminuye con la altitud. Al rededor de los
300 msnm Steinernema es el ms abundante. Hara et al., (1991) en las islas de
Hawaii hubo una alta presencia de Heterorhabditis al nivel del mar y Steinernema
por arriba de los 300 msnm.
En el archipilago de Azores, la temperatura del suelo y la humedad
dependen de la altitud y son probablemente determinantes en la distribucin de
estos nematodos. En la parte Oeste de la isla Sao Miguel, que tiene una baja
elevacin de la parte Este es quien tiene la mayor temperatura del suelo,
Heterorhabditis es el gnero predominante en el lado Este, mientas que
Steinernema es ms comn. La temperatura y la precipitacin tambin afectan la
distribucin de insectos que potencialmente pueden ser hospederos de estos
nematodos entomopatgenos. Steiner (1996) el porcentaje total de las muestras
de suelo que produjeron nematodos entomopatgenos, fueron encontrados en
altitudes entre los 490 y 2,530 msnm (S. affinis y S. kraussei respectivamente), y
la mayora de los aislados se recuperaron en altitudes entre los 1,500 y 2,100
msnm.
Mrek (1980) menciona que la incidencia de estos nematodos no avanza
gradualmente con relacin a la altitud (150-1000 msnm), ya que las larvas
infectivas fueron encontradas en muestras de suelo bajas, laderas de campos y
bosques, as como favorablemente en suelos de bosques montaosos (a 1000
msnm).

Rosa et al., 2000 encontraron nematodos entomopatgenos hasta los 750
msnm, en tanto que un Heterorhabditis por debajo de los 150 msnm, mientras que
los Steinernema se encontraron por arriba de los 300 msnm.
5.6. Virulencia de nematodos sobre larvas de A. ludens.
Otro de los objetivos de la investigacin fue evaluar la virulencia de aislados
de nematodos entomopatgenos, encontrando que presentan diferente grado de
susceptibilidad de las larvas de A. ludens a la accin del nematodo.
Para poder seleccionar un nematodo entomopatgeno, como posible
agente de control biolgico es importante evaluar primero sus propiedades; as
como las caractersticas del hospedero y los factores responsables de la
efectividad que pueda influir en los nematodos, para controlar la plaga; como los
mecanismos de defensa del hospedero, los factores biticos y abiticos.
Los resultados indican que las larvas de A. ludens son susceptibles a
nematodos, siete de los veintitrs nematodos alcanzaron una mortalidad mayor al
80% de larvas; cuatro son steinernematidos y tres heterorhabditidos. Del total de
los nematodos evaluados alcanzaron un porcentaje de mortalidad de 51.1 hasta
un 90.6%; en estado de larva.
Beauver y Calkins (1984) evaluaron la virulencia de nematodos
entomopatgenos en A. suspensa y encontraron que S. glaseri parsita larvas y
adultos en un 15 y 58% respectivamente. Lo anterior significa, que las larvas de A.
ludens son ms susceptibles que A. suspensa a estos nematodos. Estos mismos
autores reportan que H. bacteriophora mata un 79 y 76% de larvas y adultos de A.
suspensa.
En este trabajo registr que exciten diferencias altamente significativas en
la virulencia entre los aislados y cepas evaluadas; las cepas que causaron la
mayor mortalidad en el caso de Heterorhabditis HC10a con 90.6%, mientras que
los steinernematidos del gnero Steinernema aislado SM46, SM45, SC1b, SC3b
con 89.1-88% de mortalidad del estado de Colima y Michoacn; en tanto que otros
heterorhabditidos fueron los aislados HC22, HC10c, HC21c, HC10b, HC5 y HC23

con una mortalidad de 86-78.2% del estado de Colima, resultados que son
comparables a los reportados por Beavers y Calkins (1984) con la cepa H.
bacteriophora NC evaluada en este trabajo, fue inferior a los encontrados con las
cepas locales. Tambin, ellos mismos encontraron diferencias en la virulencia
entre especies de larvas de A. suspensa; resultados que coinciden con los aqu
obtenidos. Del mismo modo; tambin observaron un 1% de infeccin en pupas de
A. suspensa con los nematodos S. feltiae y H. bacteriophora; en este trabajo se
encontr un parasitismo comprendido entre 73-100% de mortalidad, lo que indica
que las pupas de A. ludens son sensibles a todos los nematodos aqu evaluados.
Lindegren y Vail (1986) reportan que el tercer estadio de C. capitata, D.
cucurbitae y D. dorsalis son susceptibles a este nematodo S. feltiae; tambin es
capaz de parsita larvas y pupas de A. ludens, lo que aumento su rango de
insectos hospederos; por otro lado, Poinar y Hislop (1981) tambin encontraron
que los adultos de C. capitata son susceptibles a S. feltiae y H. bacteriophora en
pruebas de laboratorio.
Los resultados obtenidos corroboran lo reportado por Lezama et al (1996)
sobre la susceptibilidad de larvas de A. ludens a los nematodos entomopatgenos
S. riobravis y S. glaseri. Sin embargo, en este trabajo se encontr que la especie
de S. carpocapsae Davis caus la mas baja mortalidad con un 87% a la
concentracin de 1000 nematodos por caja de petri, mientras que Lezama et al.,
(1996) reportan 90% con la concentracin de 4000 nematodos, as como tambin
reportan un 76.25% de larvas muertas por el nematodo y un 13.75% de mortalidad
en estado biolgico de pupa.
Toledo et al., (2001) mencionan una posible explicacin de las diferencias
en la infeccin de los nematodos, en las larvas de A. ludens, pudo haber sido que
las larvas de tercer estadio, utilizadas en este estudio, hayan estado en la fase
terminal del estadio y prximas a entrar al estado de pupa, por lo que no dieron
tiempo a que los nematodos entraran en las larvas, debido a que tienden a
enterrarse en el suelo y es posible que Lezama et al. (1996) hayan utilizado larvas

jvenes de tercer estadio, por lo que estuvieron mayor tiempo expuestas a los
nematodos.
Duncan y McCoy (1996) reportan que S. riobravis tiene como
comportamiento el de permanecer en la superficie del suelo a menos de un
centmetro de profundidad en un 99% del total de los nematodos aplicados. Lo
anterior, puede explicar los resultados encontrados en este estudio. Mas
investigaciones se hacen necesarias para comprobar la hiptesis ya que de ser
cierta, la oportunidad de que el nematodo ataque a las larvas, se condiciona al
momento en que estas salen del fruto cado sobre la superficie del suelo, por lo
que es el nico momento en que los nematodos pueden infectarla.
Algunas investigaciones se han realizado para reducir el efecto de esta
conducta, se han hecho aplicaciones del nematodo en el agua de riego, para
incorporarlo bajo la superficie y se han logrado mejores resultados que cuando se
aplica sobre la superficie del suelo (Cabanillas y Raulston, 1996).
5.7. Virulencia de nematodos sobre larvas y pupas de A. ludens en un suelo
areno-limoso.
Los resultados de mortalidad, encontrados con la especies evaluadas en
este trabajo de Heterorhabditis cepas HC5, HC21c, HM56 y las de S. carpocapsae
cepas Mex y All, adems de Steinernema cepa SC8 este trabajo, a la
concentracin de 1000 nematodos fue mayor al 75% siendo muy superiores a los
reportados por Lezama et al., (1996) a la misma concentracin que fue de 52.5% y
con 5000 nematodos apenas alcanz la misma mortalidad 75%. Downes y Griffin
(1996) reportan que S. glaseri tiene como comportamiento la capacidad de
desplazarse hasta 90 cm de profundidad, posiblemente esta sea la razn por la
que se registraron niveles de parasitismo mas elevados que con S. riobravis.
Por su parte Lindegren y Vail (1986) reportan diferencias entre la mortalidad
de larvas de tercer estadio de C. capitata bajo el efecto de concentraciones,
resultados que concuerdan con los aqu obtenidos. Por otro lado, Lindegren et al.,
(1990) evalan al nematodo Steinernema carpocapsae a la concentracin de

aplicados al suelo para controlar A. suspensa, Bactrocera cucurbitae
S. carpocapsae con 89%, B. dorsalis con 94% y Ceratitis capitata con S. feltiae
con 87.1% y S. carpocapsae con 97% de mortalidad, respectivamente. Sin
embargo, Gazit et al., (2000) al evaluar a S. riobrave a la concentracin de 100
nematodos por cm
2
aplicados al suelo para controlar C. capitata causan una
mortalidad de 82.5%.
5.8. Tiempo letal 50% (TL
50
) de nematodos sobre larvas de A. ludens.
En lo que respecta a los tiempos letales 50% de cada cepa evaluada en
larvas del tercer estadio de A. ludens se pudo constatar que oscilan entre 13 y 62
horas; sin embargo, los aislados sobresalientes presentan un TL
50
de 13-28 horas
despus de la inoculacin.
Con relacin al TL
50
obtenido en larvas de moscas de la fruta es mayor a lo
reportado en algunos trabajos sobre lepidpteros como Gonzlez-Ramrez (1995)
evalu a H. bacteriophora sobre sietes instares larvarios de M. latipes encontrando
un TL
50
de 1.5-4.3 das. Mas tarde, Medeiros et al., (2000) evaluaron cepas de
nematodos de Steinernema y Heterorhabditis sobre los diferentes instares de
Pseudaletia unipuncta sobresaliendo un aislado de Steinernema cepa A48 que
alcanz un TL
50
de 32.3-49.2 h. En tanto que, Rosa y Simoes, (2004) evaluaron 28
cepas de nematodos nativos sobre P. unipuncta obteniendo a H. bacteriophora
cepa Az29 como el mas virulento con un TL
50
de 44 h. Mientras que Schroer et
al., (2005) quienes evaluaron a S. carpocapsae sobre larvas de Plutella xylostella
con un TL
50
mayor a las 40 h, siendo similares a lo encontrado sobre A. ludens.

VI. Conclusiones
En base a las condiciones en que se desarroll este experimento se puede
establecer las siguientes conclusiones.
El conocimiento de la diversidad de agentes a nivel de especie, gnero o
aislado en este estudio y su posible variacin en la virulencia, pudiera ser un
reflejo de la diversidad de hbitats encontrados en este estudio.
Es probable que los nematodos encontrados tengan una mayor adaptacin
en funcin de su frecuencia de recuperacin, fue mayor en diferentes ambientes.
Esto es un aspecto muy importante a considerar ya que podran a contribuir al uso
de aislados en programas de manejo integrado en los estados o climas similares.
Es necesario evaluar la virulencia de diferentes especies de nematodos
steinernematidos y heterorhabditidos en otras especies de moscas de la fruta, con
el fin de conocer su potencial de uso dentro de programas de manejo integrado de
plagas.
Se encontr, que todas las especies y cepas de nematodos evaluados en
este estudio tienen un potencial de control biolgico, en contra de larvas de A.
ludens; con un porcentaje de parasitismo entre 51 hasta 90.6%.
Los aislados de nematodos entomopatgenos que se evaluaron en contra
de larvas de A. ludens, presentaron actividad entomopatgena, pero diferente
grado de mortalidad a la dosis empleada, encontrndose que al nematodo H.
megidis y S. riobrave presentan los mas bajos parasitismos con un 51% de
mortalidad. Los aislados o cepas mas sobresalientes fueron Steinernema de los
aislados SM46, SM45, SC1b, SC3b; mientras que Heterorhabditis fueron los
aislados HC10a, HC22 y HC10c, por arriba del 80% de mortalidad, con tiempos
letales 50% de 13 hasta 62 horas, respectivamente.
La agresividad de las cepas evaluadas presentaron diferencias
significativas entre las nativas e introducidas. Sin embargo, hubo una tendencia de
los aislados mexicanos a ejercer su accin ms rpidamente, por lo que se
perfilan como las ms adecuadas a fin de ser utilizadas en control biolgico.

Los nematodos mas sobresalientes en suelo estril sobre larvas fue
Heterorhabditis cepa HC5 con el 100% de mortalidad, HC21c, HM56 y HC5 fueron
los ms virulentos, siendo estos los que se recomiendan para utilizarse en
prximos trabajos.
En el caso de las pupas de A. ludens los nematodos Steinernema SC8 y
Heterorhabditis aislado HC5 tienen la mayor mortalidad en un suelo estril con
90% de mortalidad a las 240 horas de exposicin.
Es necesario determinar s estos nematodos solos o combinados con otro
agente entomopatgeno, suprimen significativamente poblaciones de insectos
plaga.
Lo anterior, permite concluir que no obstante que un aislado sea patgeno
contra una especie de plaga, se debe de evaluar su virulencia, en todos los
estados biolgicos del insecto, para conocer el grado de impacto y posible control
que el nematodo pudiera tener al aplicarlo al campo contra esta plaga.
Los resultados ponen en evidencia que la actividad patgena de los
aislados de nematodos a larvas de A. ludens, con respecto al insecto donde fue
aislado, no es estrecha, ya que las cepas de nematodos provienen de un insecto
trampa como G. mellonella.
Es necesario continuar las investigaciones para demostrar la sensibilidad de
A. ludens a nematodos entomopatgenos nativos y que se determine sus
respectivas concentraciones letales 50% (CL
50
).
As mismo, se evalu su efectividad al nivel de invernadero antes de pasar
a campo, con el fin de seleccionar la especie de nematodo ms prometedora en el
control de A. ludens.
Seria prudente evaluar la virulencia de los nematodos nativos en otras
especies de moscas de la fruta, con el fin de conocer su potencialidad de uso
dentro de programas de manejo integrado.
