risk. Apply cooling water to sides of containers that are
exposed to flames until well after fire is out. Stay away
from ends of tanks. Wear self-contained breathing
apparatus.
Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards: If exposed to high heat, material may give off vapors of
amine or ammonia, which could be flammable or toxic.

SECTION VI – HEALTH HAZARD DATA
Emergency Overview: This product may be drying and irritating to the skin on prolonged
contact. The mist or vapors can be irritating to the eyes. Do not ingest, may cause nausea,
material is slightly toxic. Inhalation of vapors may cause irritation to the respiratory tract, may
cause sneezing and sickness. Persons with breathing or skin allergy problems should avoid
contact.

seen as marked excess redness and swelling of the eye.
Skin: Brief contact may cause slight irritation. Prolonged contact, as with clothing
wetted with material, may cause more severe irritation and discomfort, seen as
local redness and swelling.
Ingestion: May cause abdominal discomfort, nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting.
Inhalation: Vapors or mist may cause irritation to the respiratory tract irritation of he nose
and throat.

Chronic Information: Repeated skin contact may cause persistent irritation or dermatitis.

FIRST AID:
Eye Contact: Immediately flush with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes.
Consult physician.
Skin Contact: Immediately flush with copious amounts of water then soap and water for at least
5 minutes. If irritation persists, contact physician. Launder contaminated

SECTION VI – HEALTH HAZARD DATA (CONTINUED)
Notes to physician: There is no specific antidote. Treatment of overexposure should be directed
at the control symptoms and the clinical condition of the patient. Due to the irritant and
surfactant action of the material, if it is aspirated during swallowing or vomiting, there may be
lung injury. Therefore, emesis should not be induced by mechanical or pharmacological means.
If it is considered that evacuation of the stomach contents is necessary, this should be done by
means least likely to result in aspiration (e.g. the use of gastric lavage in the presence of
endotracheal intubation).
SECTION VII – SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Not required.
VENTILATION: General (mechanical) room ventilation.
EYE PROTECTION: Chemical goggles.
PROTECTIVE GLOVES: Impervious.
OTHER PROTECTION: Wear protective clothing to prevent skin contact.
Eye bath and safety shower should be available.
SECTION VIII – SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
HANDLING: Spilled material is slippery on wet or hard surfaces. Foams profusely when hit
with a stream of water. Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not get in eyes. Avoid skin and
clothing contact.
STORAGE: Store away from incompatible substances (SEE SECTION V). Store above 40° F in
lined steel, Liquipak, or P/E drums. Stainless steel, lined steel, or Fiberglass reinforced plastic
tanks should be used for bulk storage. Contact tank manufacturers for recommendations.

STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED:
