The Parable of the Gold Coins

Jesus told the people, The kingdom of Heaven is like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag.

Il servo che aveva ricevuto cinquecento monete and subito a investire i soldi in un affare, e alla fine guadagn altre cinquecento monete.

The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more.

Quello che ne aveva ricevute duecento fece lo stesso, e alla fine ne guadagn altre duecento.

The man with two bags of gold put his money to work and gained two bags more.

Quello invece che ne aveva ricevute soltanto cento scav una buca in terra e vi nascose i soldi del suo padrone.

But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his masters money.

Dopo molto tempo il padrone ritorn e cominci a fare i conti con i suoi servi. Venne il primo, quello che aveva ricevuto cinquecento monete d'oro, port anche le altre cinquecento e disse: - Signore, tu mi avevi consegnato cinquecento monete. Guarda: ne ho guadagnate altre cinquecento. Il padrone gli disse: - Bene, sei un servo bravo e fedele! Sei stato fedele in cose da poco, ti affider cose pi importanti. Vieni a partecipare alla gioia del tuo signore.

After a long time the master of those servants returned. The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. Master, he said, you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more. His master replied, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your masters happiness!

Poi venne quello che aveva ricevuto duecento monete e disse: - Signore, tu mi avevi consegnato duecento monete d'oro. Guarda: ne ho guadagnate altre duecento. Il padrone gli disse: - Bene, sei un servo bravo e fedele! Sei stato fedele in cose da poco, ti affider cose pi importanti. Vieni a partecipare alla gioia del tuo signore!

The man with two bags of gold also came. Master, he said, you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more. His master replied, Well done, good and faithful servant! Infine venne quel servo che aveva ricevuto solamente cento monete d'oro e disse: - Signore, io sono andato a nascondere i tuoi soldi sotto terra. Ecco, te li restituisco. Ma il padrone gli rispose: - Servo cattivo e fannullone! Via, toglietegli le cento monete e datele a quello che ne ha mille.

Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. Master, he said, I went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you. His master replied, You wicked, lazy servant! Take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags.

Sei stato creato cos per uno scopo meraviglioso e di aver ricevuto una serie unica di doni, talenti e qualit che ti aiuteranno a trovare il posto speciale che tu solo puoi colmare in questo mondo. You were endowed with a unique set of gifts, talents, and attributes that will help you find and fill the special place in this world that only you can fill. Be faithful, and God will say to you, Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.
