Dr. Oh-Hyun Kwon was officially appointed Chief Executive Officer of Samsung Electronics Co.

by the companys Board of Directors on June 8, 2012. As well as overseeing the company in his role of CEO, the Vice Chairman continues to lead the Device Solutions Division of Samsung Electronics, which consists of the three component businesses: Memory, System LSI and LED. Since Dr. Kwon joined Samsung Electronics Semiconductor Business in 1985, he has played a pivotal role in Samsung Electronics rapid advance in the semiconductor industry. He successfully led the development of the industrys first 64Mb DRAM in 1992, and was promoted to Vice President of Samsungs Memory Device Technology unit three years later. In 1998, Dr. Kwon was appointed Senior Vice President and head of System LSI Divisions ASIC business. In 2000, he became Executive Vice President and head of LSI Technology. In January of 2004, Dr. Kwon was appointed President and General Manager of the System LSI Division. During his 10 years at the System LSI Division, Dr. Kwon gained special recognition for achieving top market shares of display driver ICs, application processors and CMOS image sensors. In May of 2008, Dr. Kwon was appointed President of Semiconductor Business (now Device Solutions). In December of 2011, he was promoted to Vice Chairman of Samsung Electronics. Dr. Kwon has published numerous papers at conferences and symposiums including ISSCC, VLSI Symposium, and IEDM. He has also contributed his expertise to a number of technical journals on semiconductor related topics. Dr. Kwon has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology), and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Mr. B D Park is the President and CEO of Samsung South West Asia Operations and Managing Director, Samsung India Electronics Ltd. In his role, Mr. Park will oversee the operations of Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd. (SIEL); Samsung India Software Operations (SISO), Samsungs R & D Centre at Bangalore; Samsung India Software Centre (SISC) and SEL India, Samsungs R&D Centers at Noida as well as the Companys operations in the SAARC Region. Mr. Park brings with him over 28 years of work experience having started his career with Samsung Electro Mechanics Co. Ltd in 1983. He joined Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. in 1991 and has worked in the Overseas Marketing Planning Group in Korea; Samsung Latin America RHQ and was the Head of the Companys subsidiary at Chile. He became the Director of the Mobile Export team in 2001 and became the Head of South East Asia/South West Asia/Middle East Marketing Group in Global Mobile Business in 2004. He came to India as the Head of Mobile and IT Division in 2008 and has now been elevated to the position of President & CEO, Samsung South West Asia operations. Under Mr. Parks leadership, Samsung has emerged as a market leader in the fast growing Smartphone market in India and the Companys market share in Mobiles has grown from 6% in 2008 to over 30% as on date. Mr. Park is well known within Samsung for his very practical management style, innovative channel management and his customer oriented approach.
