Day 01 Sunday March 30: Day 02 Monday March 31:

USA - Ireland: Transfer from Farmington to JFK International Airport for your evening departure from JFK on our overnight flight to Shannon, Ireland via Delta Airlines. Dinner followed by in-flight entertainment will be served shortly after take-off. Shannon Blarney - Kinsale: Morning arrival at Shannon Airport, where after clearing customs you are greeted by your friendly Celtic Tours Irish driver/guide and escorted to your luxury motor coach. Departing Shannon, we board our coach and travel to the little village of Blarney in County Cork. Our drive is through County Limerick and over the borders into County Cork. We travel through the countrys richest farmland, known as the Golden Vale. Here butter and cheeses are gold, evidenced by the prosperity of the towns we pass through. On to the village of Blarney, here youll have the option to climb the steps and kiss the famed stone, or shop and explore the Blarney Woollen Mills before we continue on to Kinsale and our hotel. Remainder of your day free to rest, relax and independently explore. Dinner and overnight at the Actons Hotel in Kinsale. Kinsale Cobh - Kinsale: After breakfast we depart for Cobh, where youll have a chance to visit the Heritage Centre (Queenstown) where youll learn the history of Irish emigration, and this was the last port of call for the Titanic. After t he center youll meet with a specially trained guide for a one hour escorted tour, that brings to life the story of Titanic, and the events in the town on the day Titanic left her last anchorage to sail into her icy fate in the North Atlantic. This walking tour takes you through the historic town of Cobh where the buildings, streets and piers have not changed since the Titanics sinking over 100 years ago. Tonight dinner will be on your own. Overnight at your Kinsale hotel. Kinsale: Today after breakfast, you are free in Kinsale to independently explore shop and sightsee. Kinsale has over the years gained a reputation as a gourmets paradise, boasting some of the best seafood restaurants in Ireland. The narrow winding streets have been compared to those of Toledo, Spain. This afternoon about 4:00 p.m. youll meet with a guide and enjoy a historical walking tour of the city. Then later tonight, youll enjoy dinner at The Spaniard Pub, an old fashion cozy pub with locals and enjoy some local musicians. Overnight at your Kinsale hotel. Kinsale Killarney: Today, youll travel through the coastal towns of Clonakilty, Rosscarbery, Skibbereen and Bantry. Here the wide bay, famous in rhyme and song, stretches out to meet the sky. On through the lovely village of Glengarriff. Do not be surprised to see palm trees! This area enjoys a sub-tropical climate where the waters are warmed by the Gulf Stream. Garinish Island, out in Bantry Bay has a wonderful collection of rare tropical and sub- tropical plants. Continuing, we drive over the mountain passes to Kenmare and down the twisty road where every turn unfolds a new and fresh view of Killarneys lakes. Check into your Killarney hotel late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the Killarney Towers Hotel. Ring of Kerry: After a hearty Irish breakfast, depart on one of Ireland's most popular and beautiful drives, the Ring of Kerry. Traveling northwards from Killarney, youll come to the town of Killorglin, famous for "Puck Fair" and from here; youll commence the 'ring tour'. The drive is along the coastline of the broad Iveragh Peninsula, through the towns of Glenbeigh, Cahirciveen, Waterville and Sneem. The scenery is spectacular as wind-swept cliffs, still lakes, lost valleys and rocky mountains blend in awesome beauty. As one looks around, it is easy to agree with the old Irish saying, "even if a man has only a small bit of earth here, he has a lot of the heavens". From Sneem, continue via "Ladies View" back to Killarney and your hotel for dinner and overnight. Killarney Shannon Airport USA: After breakfast, we travel the market towns of Castleisland, Abbeyfeale and Newcastle West and the old world village of Adare to Shannon Air port for our return flight home. Here youll bid a fond farewell to your driver/guide and this Emerald Isle as you check in for your return flight. Arrive home the same day.
