The ones that came, and the ones that left. They all taught you. Dont think for a moment that any of it was random. There are no oversights with God. Only perfectly crafted chapters in each unique journey.

If we dont come out of Ramadan different than when we entered it, theres something wrong. He said to think of it this way- 11 months out of the year, were sick. Really, really sick. Its a constant battle against out desires and shaytan. And then Ramadan comes along and its a month to cure us, to purify us and free us from those desires. We should take advantage of it and scrape up as many good deeds as we possibly can

Who we are during Ramadan defines us. Shaytan is locked up. Hes not around to whisp er to us. But shaytan is tricky; he trains us all year long so that when Ramadan comes along and hes locked up, all it takes is a little nudge for us to fall into that sin we commit year round.

Death is inevitable. We shouldnt shy away from it. Thinking about it shouldnt put us in a gloomy mood- it should be something constantly in the back of our minds, a reminder. We should be spending our lives in preparation for it so that when death comes, we can say weve done our best.

Always say Alhamdulillah when waking up. We die every night in our sleep and Hes the one who gives us breath every morning. So every time you skip a fast just because or postpone a prayer thinking youll make it up later (but we all know later never comes) imagine if Allah sla cked one day saying oh, Ill give him oxygen later.

Apabila diri merasa besar, haruslah memeriksa hati. Mungkin ia sedang bengkak. Jika diri merasa suci, haruslah memeriksa jiwa. Mungkin itu putihnya nanah dari luka nurani. Jika diri merasa tinggi, haruslah memeriksa batin. Mungkin ia sedang melayang kehilangan jejak. Dan jika diri merasa wangi, haruslah memeriksa niat. Mungkin itu asap dari amal shalih yang hangus dibakar riya.
