How to Unlock Objects While Creating Transport Request

As an SAP ABAP developer and BASIS consultant we f ace many issues while creating Transport Requests to our developed objects like some objects are locked in other transport requests. Generally we do deleting each object individually in SE09 which will be a time taking process f or the consultants, if we have too many objects it'll take lot more time to deleting locked objects.

Here in this article we are going to explain how to unlock the objects while creating transport request in SAP ABAP . T his article will help SAP Consultants in unlocking the objects which are saved in other Transport requests in a simple and easy way. T his method will take just 2 to 3 min time to complete. Let 's know t he process of How t o Unlock Object s While Creat ing Transport Request in SAP ABAP

T he common issue we generally get is available in below screen shot :

Steps we need to follow 9 steps to resolve the above issue :

1) Go to CT O on the same screen or you can go to SE09 tcode and expand your Request. 2) Double click on the f irst sub request which is DBWK903785. You will see all the objects which are locked in this request. T his can be f ound in Lock/Import Status Column. 3) Go to SE03 and double click on Unlock Objects(Expert Tool). 4) Go to SE09 and double click on f irst sub request and you will f ind empty column of Lock/Import Status. 5) Select All objects and press Delete All. 6) In this step Click on Save button. 7) Go to SE09 screen. You will f ind your f irst sub request which does not hold any locked objects.

8) Select the f irst sub request and press Delete button. 9) You can f ollow the same procedure to delete all sub request numbers, which hold the locked objects. Step 1: Go to CT O on the same screen or you can go to SE09 and expand your Request.

Here, you will f ind the underlying sub requests which hold the objects like below screen shot

Step 2 : Double click on the first sub request which is DBWK903785. You will see all the objects which are locked in this request. T his can be f ound in Lock/Import Status Column Step 3 : Goto SE03 and double click on Unlock Objects(Expert Tool) as below screen

Put the f irst sub request(DBWK903785) and Execute...as below screen shot

T hen, all the objects will be unlocked. Step 4 : Goto SE09 and double click on first sub request and you will find empty column of Lock/ Import Status as below screen

Step 5 : Select All objects and press Delete All as below two screen shots

Step 6 : Click on Save button as below

Step 7 : Just go back to SE09 screen. You will find your first sub request which does not hold any locked objects.

Step 8 : Select the first sub request and press Delete button as below screen shot
