City residents contribute directly to the operation of Parks and Recreation programs through payment of their property taxes. A City Resident ID card will give residents a reduced rate on most recreation programs and park reservations. The Resident ID Discount Card is optional and is not required. Residents who choose not to use the resident discount card will pay the regular fee, along with all other participants. Who is a Kalispell City Resident? Kalispell City residents live within the city limits proper. The actual boundaries for the City of Kalispell are not the same area as those set by the U.S. Postal Service for mail delivery. How do I obtain a City Resident ID Discount Card ? Bring in a current Kalispell City Water Bill, Tax Bill, or Rental Agreement that clearly shows your name, the address, and a recent date. This will prove your residency. Also, a photo will be taken for the ID card. All persons using the ID to pay for services and receive the discount will need their photo on the ID card. The initial ID is free. If you have to replace the ID for any reason there will be a $2 charge. Fees paid before receiving your ID will not be reimbursed. Bring proof to 306 First Avenue East. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. How much is the City Resident Discount? The resident discount will be 20 percent of the current fee rounded to the nearest dollar.
