Filipino Chicken Cordon Bleu

Ingredients: boneless chicken breast cheese slices thin sliced honey ham 1 egg, beaten toasted bread crumbs salt black pepper cooking oil butter How to cook chicken cordon bleu: 1. Pound chicken breast to 1/4-inch thickness. 2. Sprinkle each piece on both sides with salt and pepper. 3. Place cheese slice and ham slice on each breast. 4. Roll up each breast using toothpicks to secure if necessary. 5. Dip the rolled chicken breast into the beaten egg. 6. Then roll into the bread crumbs. 7. Place seam side down in greased baking dish. 8. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool down for few minutes. 9. Heat cooking oil over low heat in a pan. Fry the chicken cordon until golden brown on both sides. 10. Slice and serve with banana catsup as dipping sauce.

Pinoy Donut (Canned Biscuit Donut)


Ingredients: 1 tube canned refrigerated biscuits sugar cinnamon cooking oil How to cook donuts: 1. Heat the oil in a deep skillet or deep fryer. 2. In a bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon and set aside. 3. Using a donut cutter or a cookie cutter, cut the center from each biscuit. 4. Place a few donuts in the pan of hot oil. 5. Fry until golden brown on one side, about 1-2 minutes, and then flip and fry until gold brown on the other side. 6. Remove and drain on a wax paper. 7. Roll each donut and donut hole in the sugar and cinnamon mixture to coat. 8. Serve hot. More photos:

Pinoy Puto (Steamed Rice Cake)


1. In a mixing bowl, put the puto mix. 2. Add the butter. 3. Then the sugar and water. 4. Mix well until theres no more lumps. 5. Then add 1/4 cup of the grated cheese. 6. Mix until the cheese is evenly blended. 7. Grease the mini muffin mold. 8. Fill the prepared molds 2/3 of the way up with the batter and top with the remaining 1/4 cup shredded cheese. 9. Place the molds into a steamer basket and place over the boiling water and cover. 10. Steam until a toothpick inserted in the center of one of the putos comes out clean. 11. Yields 24 puto. Serve as a snack.

Ingredients: fried fish (leftover) 3 pineapple rings, cut into chunks 1 small carrot; cut in strips 1/2 red bell pepper; cut in strips 2 cloves garlic; minced 1/2 onion; chopped 1 tsp sugar 1 tsp soy sauce 1/2 cup water 1 tsp flour 1/2 cup pineapple juice ground black pepper salt cooking oil How to cook sweet and sour fish: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. Saut garlic and onion. Add pineapple and carrot. Simmer for few minutes. Add pineapple juice, sugar, soy sauce, water, and flour Simmer until a saucy consistency is achieved. Add bell pepper. Filipino Recipe Tilapia in Soya Lime Sauce


Ingredients: 4 pcs tilapia fillet 1/4 cup fish sauce 1/2 cup cooking oil 1 cup corn flour Sauce: 6 6 2 2 1 1 1 1 3 tbsp calamansi juice tbsp soy sauce tbsp sugar pcs red chilli, sliced and seeded tsp ginger, minced tsp garlic, minced tsp onion, finely chopped tbsp flour tbsp water

How to cook: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Season tilapia fillet with fish sauce and dip in corn flour. Deep fry and set aside. To prepare the sauce, mix calamansi juice, soy sauce and sugar. Saute ginger, garlic and onion until fragrant. Pour the calamansi mixture and simmer for about 3 minutes. Dissolve flour in 3 tbsp water and add to the calamansi mixture. When the sauce becomes a bit sticky, add in red chilli. Leave for about 30

seconds. 8. Serve hot with the fried tilapia fillet.

Ingredients: 300g large prawns, peeled and de-veined salt pepper Batter: 2 eggs 3 tbsp corn flour 3 tbsp plain flour salt pepper How to cook: 1. 2. 3. 4. Marinate prawns in salt and pepper. In a bowl, mix eggs, corn flour and plain flour until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Dip prawns in batter and deep fry in hot cooking oil until golden and crispy.
