1529 NW 143rd Street Gainesville, Florida 32606 Tel: (352) 332-9144 Fax: (352) 332-9144 call6603@bellsouth.net Letter to the Editor Gainesville Sun Gainesville, Florida Sunday, October 13, 2013

A cursory reading of Letters to the Editor reveals bashing Representative Yoho is in vogue by Gainesville residents. It is obvious public education has done its work. Its also obvious most of the complainers have never read the Constitution, specifically article 1, section 8, which reads. Article 1, Section 8 Enumerated Powers 1: The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States; General Welfare Powers Common Defense Powers 2. Borrow money 10. Define and Punish Piracies and felonies 3.Regulate Commerce 11. Declare War 4.Establish rules of naturalization and laws of bankruptcies 12. Raise and support Armies 5. Coin Money 13. Provide and maintain Navy 6. Punish Counterfeiting 14.Make Rules for Naval and Land Forces 7. Establish Post Offices and Postal Roads 15. Call forth the Militia to execute law, suppress insurrections, and repel invasions 8. Promote science and useful are by protecting exclusive right. 16. Organize, Arm and discipline the Militia 9. Constitute Tribunals inferior to the supreme court 17. Control land for limited purposes 18. Make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing powers yet congress continually violates the Constitution by overreaching the limits imposed by the 18th Clause giving Americans the lawless government the Constitution prohibits. Reading this tripe of ignorance reminds me of the saying I come before you to stand behind you to tell you something I know nothing about especially since Rep. Yoho is the only one in congressman who came back and told his constituents I returned Friday from two days in Washington and asked several Washington staffers what form of government we had. As expected, they answered a democracy. We have a lot of work to do for if the people in government do not understand what form of government we have (a Constitutional Republic) how can they lead? Thank God there are Ted Yohos in America. The citizens of Floridas Third Congressional district made the right choice.
