MULTI/JOINT 3000 Family

After the introduction of the MULTI/JOINT 2000 Family, we were almost immediately
asked for a pull-out resistant version. So, al benefits of the large range, combined
with the possibility to make a connection restraint.
After years of thinking, developing, improving, we finally came in 1997 with the
solution. The third generation of couplings: the MULTI/JOINT 3000 Family.
The ranges have been enlarged (up to DN150 stepless) and most important; you can
decide in the trench whether you want a flexible or restraint connection.
Your advantages:
If you want to ensure the reliability of your pipe distribution system, you need to keep
a lot of different couplings and other materials (such as anchoring systems and
concrete thrust blocks) in stock. With the MULTI/JOINT 3000 Family on stock; no
more need for all of that. So you:

The Variofiks-ring

Awarded as most innovative industrial product of 1999 in the Netherlands.

Received the European Engineering Award 2000.

Variofleks and Variofiks

These special rings are built up from segments that are conical in all directions, free
to move independentIy and connected to each other at the same time. This ensures
their stability.
The Varioseal rubber ring is fixed. lts dimensions are such that 100% tightness is
assured. The ring has a tested theoretical lifetime of 50 years.
The Variofleks ring does not have fiksers and assures you a 100% tight, flexible
(8 degrees nominal angularity) connection. If you need a restraint connection, all you
have to do is to put the fiksers in place.
The Variofleks and Variofiks easily adopt the correct size and shape to fit the pipe.
This due to the unique design of the flekscores (segments), the Varioseal (rubber) and
the fiksers. So, ovality and roughness will easily be overcome.

The MULTI/JOINT 3000 family offers straight couplings, flange adaptors,
reducers and end-caps (blind or with a threaded outlet from 3/4" up to 2").
Nominal sizes are:
DN50 (40) up to DN300, including DN65, DN125 and DN225.
Up to DN 150 stepless. In other words: this is the complete range of fittings,
providing for your every need.

MULTI/JOINT 3207 threaded (restraint with Multi/Fiksers2))

This type can be used for flexible connections (type 3200) and restraint connections (type
3207) with a threaded hole for temporary stops, sample taking an pressure testing. You can
also use it as reducer

If you want to use flange adaptors,
couplings, and/or end caps of the
MULTI/JOINT 3000 family on PE and/
or PVC we strongly advise to use inserts.

We have stainless steel inserts for most

standard used sizes PE (SDR11 and
SDR17,6) ready on stock
and other dimensions on request.

Tests
The MULTI/JOINT system with the
Variofleks or Variofiks-ring is
exhaustively tested according to the
international standards:
- ISO 2531
- EN 545
- EN 969

Tests performed:
- Pressure test
- Vacuum test

: water 25 bar, time: 15 minutes

: - 0.2 bar, time: 120 minutes
- 0.8 bar, time: 120 minutes
- Gas test
: air 6 bar, time: 10 minutes
for gas the system is tested up to 8 bar working pressure
- Flexibility test : water 20 bar, whereby the coupling and pipe are subjected to the
maximum turn angle. Time: 60 minutes
- 1000-hour test : water 20 bar, whereby the fully assembled MULTI/JOINT\
coupling is tested during 1000 hours at 60 C

Marking
Because WAGA products meet inter-national standards, such as ISO 2531, EN 545
and EN 969, all components of the WAGA system have been marked.
