MATERIALS: PATTERN NOTES

Double pointed needles size 2 1/2 (3mm), K – knit
Leftovers from different projects of a similar 2K tog - knit two together
gauge in DK or worsted in white, yellow and YO - yarn over
black. M1 - Make 1 stitch: Insert left needle,
Tapestry needle, from front to back, understrand of
Polyester stuffing yarn which runs between last stitch
GAUGE: Not important on left needle and first stitch on right
needle; knit this stitch through back
loop.

Break yarn. Thread it through sts left on knitting needles, pull to gather
tightly, then fasten off. Gather up on cast on sts tightly and fasten off.
Fold the piece making a flat circle with a fancy edging. Don’t stuff white.

Yolk
Cast on 36 stitches using yellow yarn. Distribute among 4 needles and
join.
Next: 8 rows K all
Next: (K4, K2 tog) x 6 ( 30 sts)
Next: K all
Next: (K3, K2 tog) x 6 ( 24 sts)
Next: K all
Next: (K1, K2 tog) x 8 ( 16 sts)
Next: K all
Next: K 2tog to end ( 8 sts)
Break yarn. Thread it through sts left on knitting needles, pull to gather
tightly, then fasten off.

Make up:

Stuff yolk with fiberfill lightly then sew it to the center of white using
yarn end left when casting on. Use black yarn to sew eyes and egg’s
smile.
