1) I would create a comprehensive plan to maintain, repair or replace faulty sewer and

storm water lines in order to stop repeated flooding of basements. I would utilize

I would rewrite the Euclid ordinance on competitive bidding to include competitive

bidding on services and remove "extreme" from the "extreme emergency" exception. I

My degree in civil engineering enables me to understand the sewer and storm water issues

that plague Euclid and its home owners. I am uniquely qualified to more fully comprehend the

issues and ask difficult, necessary questions. I will have been an attorney for 25 years when

,the next Ward 8 council person takes office. As an assistant prosecutor for 17 years , I have

prosecuted criminals and delinquents, protected abused and neglected children, collected
____________________________________________________________________________________
child support and represented county interests in a wide variety of civil matters. Those civil

matters included construction litigation involving sewers and other infrastructure problems,

representing county agencies and elected officials, and defending the county against lawsuits.

civil engineering background provides a unique perspective that can help the City of Euclid
