ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS In coordination with Administrative Technology, develops and implements long range technology plans for the school system. Defines hardware and software needs, working with other team members as needed. Coordinates the installation, service and repair of computers, networking equipment, software and related technology. Analyzes feedback from users to gauge effectiveness of current systems and to identify future needs. Establishes and maintains network security, including defining and providing for access rights. Implements and maintains remote communication access to networks. Serves as LAN and WAN coordinator, ensuring the continuous peak efficiency of all networks and connected devices. Facilitates the development and implementation of a unified technology staff development program and ensures follow through. Supervises and evaluates Instructional Technology staff. Manages departmental budget. Responsible for coordination of telecommunications service and devices to clients, including consultation and service activation and closure. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree Five years of supervisory experience in technology services with increasing responsibility Experience developing and executing long range plans Knowledge and advanced technical experience with computers, peripherals and other advanced technological devices; experience establishing and maintaining LANs. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions. Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints. Ability to present information effectively to district management, the board of education and public groups. Attendance and dependability: ability to be depended on to report to work at the scheduled time and to seldom be absent from work. Preferred Qualifications:

Educator Certification Terms of Employment: 230 days per year Salary Range: $67,067 - $101,849
