Trans: O our Cherisher! do not steer our hearts away after guiding us, and shower Your Mercy on us. Surely You are the Most Generous.

In the above Aayat , Allah Who is the King of all Kings has revealed to His servants the necessity of steadfastness and good death; and when the Supreme King teaches us how to present our request, then why sh o u ld o u r request not be accepted. This steadfastness is a great wealth which is a means fo r our entrance into Jannah. Few im portant points are being m entioned from Ruhul M aaani which w ill enhance the pleasure in m a k in g th is du a. 1The word i m e a n s

This is a sth etica lly a decendent to p ic fo r this blessing. (As mentioned in R u h u l M aaani). The reason fo r sim ilating this to p ic with the word is that the two blessings i.e steadfastness o n D een and death on Im aa n are d e p en d e n t o n e a c h oth e r. These tw o g re a t blessings due

to w h ich one gets free d o m from Hell and on entrance to Jannat, could never be the reward of ou r lim ited efforts of our lim ited life. Therefore, A lla h T a 'a la has in fo rm e d his slaves o f this im p o rta n t reality that beware! Never even think it to be rew ard o f any o f yo u r deed. This steadfastness on Deen, due to which death on Im a a n is linked, cannot be bought, because the prayers offered fo r 80 years and fasting fo r 80 years s h o u ld buy J a n n a t fo r 80 years. But eternal life in Jannat for limited efforts, could only be due to the benevolance o f A llah . Therefore, one should request with for it is without a cost.
