EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The functioning of electrical installations is much similar to blood vain in a human body that consequences a symbol of breathing & existence of a life. The health of entire entity cant be overlooked due to lack of quality work for electrical items as accomplished by M/s. SIEMENS. Almost 90% of electrical installation works attend by M/s. SIEMENS for the cement plant areas but there are several quality rectification works still balanced, which is necessarily to complete by them. The repots submitted on 20.08.12 & its review on 13.09.12 are self divulging that the existing problems are as these were. The latest review on date 30.11.12 over primordial problems as accomplished by M/s. SIEMENS shows no satisfactory result at all. The routine site surveillance shows some cleanliness of electrical items which is done by the company. There is no required quality rectification work done by M/s. SIEMENS. Following report divulging the primordial problems which yet not troubleshoot by M/s. SIEMENS even after several discussions. The outsourcing of another electrical agency would definitely charge higher amount for the primordial troubleshooting. It is worth full to hold min. of Rs. 2,000,000.00 (Twenty Lac Only) unless the completion of quality rectification work by either agency.

INTRODUCTION

The report is an indicator of electrical installation works at M/s. KJS CEMENT LIMITED,Maihar as accomplished by concerned electrical contractor M/s. SIEMENS. The attempt is to focus to improper installation works, its effect to efficiency, effect on performance of the existing system and need of quality corrective works.

Over several site observations of electrical work in CEMENT PLANT, a lot of points are found that definitely needed an immediate trouble shooting to avoid any chance of failure. The necessary surveillance were carried out over following points---------i. ii. iii. iv. v. vi. vii. viii. ix. Improper fixing and aligning of suitable size cable cellar, Mixing of different types of cable together, Lack of proper cable dressing and tray supporting structures, Over loading of cable tray, Unprotected cables and cable tray, Earthing strips are not connected to earth pits, Improper termination of cables at load or measuring points, Problems of signal based sensors/equipments, Problem of maintenance during a break down in electrical division,
