Objectives: 1) 2) 3) 4) Explain the basic principle in landscape assessment. Analyse the needs of landscape assessment in determining the management plan. Carry out the methods of analysis. Propose management plan based on landscape assessment.

Course Description This course provides a process of evaluating the urban and natural park resources and other aspect of landscape characters. This process enables students to establish information on resources, social and managerial elements and characteristics of an area which later translates into a management plan. Student Expectations This course provides an overview of evaluating the urban and natural park resources and other aspect of landscape characters based on the literature; therefore, it is mandatory that each student complete ALL text/article reading before the class meeting. Library work beyond the courses text/article is expected. This is a bachelor degree level course and all course work in class and assignments handed in should be well thought out. Attendance and Participation Attendance is requirement for this course. Students are expected to come to class PREPARED, having done the readings. Attendance is according to the regulations of UiTM. Assignments All written assignments should be typed, double spaced with one-inch margin. Papers with references are to follow APA style. All assignments are due at the end of class unless other arrangements have been made. Late assignments will cost you; your grade will be reduced 10% each day it is late.
