ABOUT THE PROJECT: Rehabilitation are places that have facilities to rehabilitate the problem of drug and alcohol dependenc.They later returned to normaility.The rehabilitation in such cases includes that ability to manage the drug withdrawal symptoms. This can be especially important for people with severe addiction problem .For this reason a rehab facility is the best choice. In these days of rehab clinics are most often offers a peaceful environments in a conscious way, an atmosphere of tranquility and beauty for you to be free of addiction. Drug rehab clinics offer a variety of way in which drug addicts can be rehabilitated effectively . The programs consist of individual and group therapy, exercise and nutrition classes. Rehabilitation hospitals not only treat the physical withdrawals, but also look after the spiritual needs. SCOPE: Drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre is a place which can help out an addict to overcome their addiction. In today's world of stress and problem people get addicted to some kind of drug. A drug rehab is where an addict can get specialize treatment and even spiritual motivation. These kind of rehabs worldwide are helping people to live in a drugfree environment and peaceful life. OBJECTIVE: Education about the diseaseOne of the goal of drug and alcohol rehab centre is to educate the abuser to the facts about addiction. Addiction is a complex brain disorder characterized by drug seeking and drug craving. The more an addict knows and understands the disease concept of addiction, the more likely he will be to succeed in long term recovery. Major changes are absolutely necessaryAnother is to teach the person about the changes needed to live a drug-free lifestyle. A variety of therapy is included in a given rehab setting. Much of what happens in a rehab is to make the client aware of their drug and alcohol using behavior and the effect it has on their lives. Building confidence and faith in the patient through spiritual sermons to help them resist allurements and cope up with the circumstances after leaving the rehab. Motivating the victims to open up about their underlying fears and the deep routed causes that gave rise to the addiction.

BASIC IDEA

All this year I have been seeing that successes is the only factor for a person to judge his ability. Our society wants to see the brighter side of the story. The rest remain untouched. The basic idea behind the project is to aware the society about the fact that a person may not be a successful one but can have a better life and can become a better person than successful.
Building bigger is a good idea but building better is a bigger solution. INFERENCES BEHIND THE IDEA The objective is to shift these addicts from a special environment to normal category.
FACES OF SUCCESSFUL PERSONS Comparison in society is always made with the Best. Therefore the competition starts increasing day by day. When people are not able to coupe up with the best, they try to use an alternative which makes them wrong in society. So, it is necessary to help these people to come out of their negative thinking and live a normal life.

FOR THAT I NEED A SYSTEM CLOSER TO NORMAL PERSONS SO THAT THESE PEOPLE CAN BE AWARE OF THE WORLD OUT THERE.

PSYCHE OF THE USER: Psychology of the user is an important factor to be considered while designing any building. It is important to understand the psyche of the user, their need and their various requirements. After understanding their needs and their sufferings, try to solve them by providing better environment. The user of the building is a drug addict who is discarded from the society and is treated as an evil in the society. Due to which they are: Ignored and dont have direct contact with the society. Neglected by family and friends.

THE MOST COMMON EXAMPLE WE FIND IS A RECTANGLE: REASON FOR SELECTING GOLDEN RECTANGLE.: Rectangle being on e of the stable form aesthetically provides the stability to the system. An addict already in a complicated situation wants every thing to be simple and easy to understand. The golden ratio has the simplest expression basic form.

EFFECT ON THE USER: Due to this ignorance and behavior of the society towards them they become; Hopeless ,lose faith in them and everything comes to an end for them. They get depressed and afraid of the out side world. Everything seems to be complicated for them and useless. AIM OF THE PROJECT: Aim of the project is to create transparency ,openness and fluidity of space to help in the healing and correcting process. To create a sense of harmony and proportion through simple geometrical form of Golden rectangle.

Among the top three shapes the third one is more attractive and the most appealing. For comparing the rectangle measure each rectangles length and width and compare the ratio of length to width. We see the following ratio; Rectangle one: Ratio 1:1 Rectangle two: Ratio 2:1 Rectangle Three: Ratio 1.618:1 After comparing the rectangles we find that the third rectangle is most appealing because the ratio of its length to its width is the Golden Ratio(1:1.618).

THE PLATONIC SOLIDS

There are five perfect 3-dimensional forms -the tetrahedron, hexahedron, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedrons. Collectively these are known as the platonic solids -- and are the foundation of everything in the physical world. To see and work with unity and wholeness in geometry can help abolish our false notion of separateness from nature and from each other.

FIBONACCI NUMBER.: 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55,89144 etc . It is additive series, 1+1=2,2+1=3,3+2=5,3+5=8,8+5=13. This is the Fibonacci series. Each Fibonacci number is the sum of the two Fibonacci number preceding it. When the Fibonacci number is divided by the number preceding it in the series the ratio gets closer to Phi(1.618033). For example- 13/8= 1.625 , 144/89= 1.617. The larger the two Fibonacci numbers the closer the ratio gets to the Devine Proportion. The ratio of 1 to 1.618 has many names, Golden number, Devine Proportion, Golden Proportion, Fibonacci Number. Golden Ratio has played an important role in many parts of Geometry , Architecture, Music, Art and Philosophy. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Throughout the history, the ratio for length to width of rectangles of 1.618 has been considered the most pleasing to the eye. The Golden Ratio has appeared in ancient architecture. The examples are many, such as the Great Pyramid in Giza, Egypt which is considered one of the Seven World Wonders of the ancient world, and the Greek Parthenon that was constructed between 447 and 472BC. Some modern architecture are also influenced by Golden Ratio as well, such as the united nations building. THE GREAT PYRAMID AT GIZA : Half of the base, the slant height, and the height from the vertex to the center create a right triangle. When that half of the base equal to one, the slant height would equal to the value of Phi and the height would equal to the square root of Phi.

In the United Nations building, the width of the building compared with the height of every ten floors is a Golden Ratio. THE UN BUILDING: THE PARTHENON : The exterior dimensions of the Parthenon form a Golden Ratio in many of the proportions.

The site comprises of basically three zones ZONE 1- Detox and administration. ZONE 2- Therapy and vocational block. ZONE 3- Private and inpatients.

Entry has been provided from two side, one is the main entry and the other is for staff and service entry. Building block has been placed away from the boundary wall so as to avoid noise pollution from the road traffic. Dense vegetation has been done to provide a visual barrier from the outer environment. Courtyard planning is done according to the site climate which is composite . Introvert planning is done so that the patient can be under observation all the time without interrupting their freedom. Out door games are also provided within the courtyards. Various zone have been divided for different category of patients so as to avoid any kind of bad effect on each other. The site is situated near a Satsang Ashram which is also a positive point.
