Reliance in 1G technology offer Phone call and receive simple Email msg,in 2G services reliance has offer digital data services at the sped of 9.6kbp/s to19.6kbp/s , in 2.5G services Reliance offer fax ,voice mail, large email messages, web browsing, Map and updates and in .3G services Reliance support 3.6mbp/s to 28mbp/s high speed mobile broadband video calling mobile TV,video conference ,tele-medicine, and location based services .Video portal mobile internet HSPA ,RWorld . In 3G devices it has mobile broad band dongle, Iphone ,Ipad, tablets,Mifi mini router,3Genabled black berry handset and other smart phones. Rcom has license for 3G services in 13 circles i.e. Delhi, Mumbai, Punjab, Rajasthan ,Jammu Kashmir, Kolkata ,Odissa Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh , Bihar, Assam and North East. Reliance mobile broadband will be always connected to the fastest network technology available i.e. 3G,EDGE and GPRS.Reliance is the first operator in India whose Live TV facility is free with more than 100 channels across sport, news, music, kids and general entertainment.video on demand offering ranging from short clips(movie trailer and songs) to full length movies .This 3G services is available in post paid and prepaid connection both. Few company lost their licenses in few circles, recently 3G operating in 20 circles in India by different -different company .Reliance Communication has 110000km optical fiber network in pan India the whole network is IP integrated .There are three operator of 3G network in Madhya Pradesh circles if we compare the data rates of these company we shall find that Reliance Plan is more cheaper than other operator. A study of the 3G market in Indore circle:Reliance vs Competition that is the aim of my internship program. I was visiting twenty outlets in Indore to know what the customer demanding and what the outlet owner pushing or punch to the customer .The maximum outlets owner tried to sold Reliance Dongle and SIM because it is the one of the low cost dongle and SIM with free data available in the market. It is real time experience for me to worked with such talented peoples. This experience could help me to know how the corporate world work ,how to handle the situation . How to deal with the customer, How to handle customer problem, convince customer so that they do not switch into other operator by giving or special offer because it is a low involvement product and consumer undertake a variety seeking buying behavior in which consumer often do lots of brand switching .They change another operator very easily.

Abstract
3G third generation technology basically used for mobile communication this 3G technology based on WCDMA method. It provide high capacity rate as compare to 2G ,its wider frequency help voice and data can transmit at the rate of 384kbps for mobile system. After giving his service in GSM and CDMA .Reliance try penetrate the 3G market. Reliance has 1, 10,000 km optical fiber through pan India. 3G network is operated in 20 circles in India. Idea, Airtel, Aircel, Reliance, BSNL, Vodafone are the 3G operator in India Due to the reallocation of 3G spectrum many operator lost their customer in different circles, Airtel, Vodafone lost their licenses in this bid of M.P circle . Now Reliance has two competitors in Madhya Pradesh circles. Reliance 3G has the cheapest plan in the market. It is affordable to every person. Reliance is the first operator who launched the universal dongle in the market. Due to low in cost of dongle and universal, retailer punched it first and according to my survey retailer push the reliance dongle because of its low in cast and good network coverage in particular area. I visited 20 outlets Indore, it covers Pathnipura, LigSquare, Bus stand, Anup Nagar and Vijay Nagar area where mostly owners punched Reliance Dongle to me. Before selling 3G sim and dongle in outlet. I have done demographic and geographic segmentation. Demographic segmentation because 3G generally use by business executive, college student, business person, it is use for internet and video calls in mobile and dongle.

About Late Dhirubahi Ambani

Few men in history have made as dramatic a contribution to their countrys economic fortunes as did the founder of Reliance, Late Sh. Dhirubhai H Ambani. Fewer still have left behind a legacy that is more enduring and timeless. Dhirubhai: the corporate visionary, the unmatched strategist, the proud patriot, the leader of men, the architect of Indias capital markets, the champion of shareholder interest. When Dhirubhai embarked on his first business venture, he had a seed capital of barely US$ 300 (around Rs 14,000). Over the next three and a half decades, he converted this fledgling enterprise into a Rs 60,000 crore colossusan achievement which earned Reliance a place on the global Fortune 500 list, the first ever Indian private company to do so. Dhirubhai is widely regarded as the father of Indias capital markets. In 1977, when Reliance Textile Industries Li mited first went public, the Indian stock market was a place patronised by a small club of elite investors which dabbled in a handful of stock. Undaunted, Dhirubhai managed to convince a large number of first-time retail investors to participate in the unfolding Reliance story and put their hard-earned money in the Reliance Textile IPO, promising them, in exchange for their trust, substantial return on their investments. It was to be the start of one of great stories of mutual respect and reciprocal gain in the Indian market.

The late Dhirubhai Ambani dreamt of a digital India an India where the common man would have access to affordable means of information and communication. Dhirubhai, who single-handedly built Indias largest private sector company virtually from scratch, had stated as early as 1999: Make the tools of information and communication available to people at an affordable cost. They will overcome the handicaps of illiteracy and lack of mobility. He built the Reliance empire from scratch and, in a
short span of 25 years, it catapulted to become one of the top Fortune 500 corporations of the world an achievement unparalleled in history

Types of wireless network About CDMA

Code division multiple access (CDMA) is a channel access method used by various radio communication technologies. CDMA is an example of multiple access, which is where several transmitters can send information simultaneously over a single communication channel. This allows several users to share a band of frequencies (see bandwidth). To permit this to be achieved without undue interference between the users CDMA employs spread-spectrum technology and a special coding scheme (where each transmitter is assigned a code). CDMA is a spread spectrum multiple access technique. A spread spectrum technique spreads the bandwidth of the data uniformly for the same transmitted power. A spreading code is a pseudo-random code. All CDMA users have their unique code to modulated the signal, Choosing the codes used to modulate the signal is very important in the performance of CDMA systems Each user in synchronous CDMA uses a code orthogonal to the others' codes to modulate their signal . In code division multiple access security is best than other technique no one can decode your message until he will has the orthogonal code. No one can interrupt yours data. In CDMA technique we can also reuse the frequency . CDMA consistently provides better capacity for voice and data communications than other commercial mobile technologies allowing more subscribers to connect at any given time and it the common platform on which 3G technologies are built.

About GSM
Popular cellular phone operators in India use GSM or the CDMA technology to provide voice and data services. Here I would like to explain these terms, what they mean, their implications. GSM : GSM stands for Global System for Mobile Communications. Just like computers, mobile phones have evolved over time. There were first generation mobile phones in the 70's, there are 2nd generation mobile phones in the 80's and 90's, and now there are 3rd gen phones which are enter the Indian market. GSM is called a 2nd generation, or 2G communications technology. On the same lines, in GSM, the radio frequency say 890 Mhz is shared by different users in time. This means if user A, B, C and D all talk at the same time. You assign the 890 Mhz frequency to A for some time and allow him to talk, then you assign 890 band to B for some time to speak, then to C , and finally to D, before coming back to A. So the process continues in a round robin fashion, as long as A, B, C, and D want to talk. This way many users talk at same time on the same frequency. This has to be done, because as we now frequency or Bandwidth is a scarce resource and is not available in plentiful, so it must be shared. The SIM is a detachable smart card containing the user's subscription information and phone book. This allows the user to retain his or her information after switching handsets. Alternatively, the user can also change operators while retaining the handset simply by changing the SIM. Some operators will block this by allowing the phone to use only a single SIM, or only a SIM issued by them; this practice is known as SIM locking. GSM networks operate in a number of different carrier frequency ranges (separated into GSM frequency ranges for 2G and UMTS frequency bands for 3G), with most 2G GSM networks operating in the 900 MHz or 1800 MHz bands. Where these bands were already allocated, the 850 MHz and 1900 MHz bands were used instead (for example in Canada and the United States). In rare cases the 400 and 450 MHz frequency bands are assigned in some countries because they were previously used for first-generation systems.

About 3G

3G (or 3-G) is short for third-generation technology. It is usually used in the context of cell phones.
The services associated with 3G provide the ability to transfer both voice data (a telephone call) and non-voice data (such as downloading information, exchanging email, and instant messaging). In marketing 3G services, video telephony has often been used as the flagship killer application for 3G. A certain euphoria was created, which led to huge spectrum-licensing fees in many countries, especially in Europe, where spectrum auctions generated many billions of euros for the respective countries. Since these spectrum licensing fees were collected many years before any income could be expected from 3G business, and since enormous investments are necessary to build the 3G networks, many telecommunication operators got into great financial difficulties, which greatly delayed 3G rollout in all countries except Japan and South Korea, where such spectrum licensing fees were avoided since priority was set on national IT infrastructure development. 3G is the extension of cdma it works on w-cdma technique .where the wide frequency help the better transfer rate to transmit the data ,its also provide good download rate .It provide high capacity rate as compare to 2G ,more voice and data can be send through this network The 5 MHz channel carrier provides optimum use of radio resources for operators who have been granted large, contiguous blocks of spectrum. On the other hand, it also helps to reduce the cost 3G networks while having the capable of providing extremely high-speed data transmission to users. Besides that, it also allows the transmitting 384kbps for mobile systems and 2Mbps for stationary systems. 3G users are expected to have greater capacity and improved spectrum efficiency which allow them to access the global roaming between different 3G networkings . There are five radio interfaces : WCDMA ,CDMA2000,TD-CDMA/TD-SCTDMA,UWC,DECT+

3 G SERVICES IN INDIA
Due to the government high tax charges charged on the distribution of the 3G spectrum .This make the 3G services become more costlier than the 2G services. Currently 3G services activated in 18 circles in India by different- different operator .3G services first launched by BSNL in India it connected Pan India through 3G IP enabled network due to the poor customer services very few customer can use there services .Indian government bought this frequency from Indian Air Force at Rs 2000 Cr. Its frequency is ranges from 1800mz- 2100mz .

Various competitors in 3G market in Madhya Pradesh

23 | P a g e

Various 3G services provider in MadhyaPradesh & Chattishgarh circle

Third generation network or 3G network work on WCDMA technology this service is available in India in 18 circle .This is best for conference call for its wider bandwidth in frequency, due to its wider bandwidth we can also use for video download

Idea
Idea Cellular is an Aditya Birla Group Company, India's first truly multinational corporation. Idea is a pan-India integrated GSM operator offering 2G and 3G services, and has its own NLD and ILD operations, and ISP license. With revenue in excess of $4 billion; revenue market share of nearly 15%; and subscriber base of over 121 million in FY 2013, Idea is Indias 4th largest mobile operator. Idea ranks among the Top 10 country operators in the world with a traffic of over 1.5 billion minutes a day. Ideas robust pan-India coverage is built on a network of over 100,000 2G and 3G cell sites, spread across over 55,000 towns in India. Idea has consistently stayed ahead of the industry in VLR reporting. Ideas thought leadership on Mobile Number Portability (MNP) has enabled it to stay as the top gainer with highest net gain. Every 4th mobile user who exercises choice through MNP, prefers Idea. Idea offers a range of high-speed mobile broadband devices including Android based 3G smartphones, dongles etc. Ideas wide portfolio of 3G smartphones offer the latest in 3G applications and high-end data services such as Idea TV, games, social networking etc. at most affordable prices Idea currently supports up to 21.1 Mbps over 2G speeds of 256 Kbps. However, different handsets support different speeds, from 384 Kbps,3.6 Mbps, 7.2 Mbps or 21.1 Mbps. Speeds also depend on the 3G plan/recharge that you opt for. As far as areas are concerned, other factors will come into play to determine the speed based on the location and time, such as the handset being used, site/application being used, network traffic and number of users on the service at that particular hour. 3G services will work when you are roaming too; except in Orissa. Roaming charges are always different as in the case of current voice and internet rates in the existing 2G scenario On most handsets, the 3G icon will appear on your screen to indicate accessibility. When you move out of a 3G coverage area, the icon will disappear and you will be automatically transferred to the 2G network. Customer phone will continue to work irrespective of your movement between 2G and 3G areas. Since Idea has license for 3G in only 11 circles

BSNL Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is a government co operation company launched 3G services in India .It is one of the competitor of Reliance ,BSNL is now Indias leading telecommunications company and the largest public sector undertaking. It has a network of over 45 million lines covering 5000 towns with over 35 million telephone connections. BSNL is third largest 3G network in India Additionally, BSNL 3G services usually cover not only the main town/city but also the adjoining suburbs and rural areas as well. As of now BSNL has 3G services in 826 cities across India. BSNL 3G services provided through HSDPA/HSUPA and HSPA+ . But situation as on 2012, BSNL will be third largest operator (Service) and No 1 access operator in the country. As per the TRAI Report 2011-12, BSNL became the most trustworthy brand due to its loyalty towards customers and its rule. BSNL has started 3G services in 290 cities and acquired more than 600,000 customers. It has planned to roll out 3G services in 760 cities across the country in 2010-11. According to users and big sources BSNL's 3G data speed is much higher than other operator and also it is competitively cheap in 2011.

BSNL paid the Indian government Rs. 101.87 billion for 3G spectrum in all 20 circles it operates in. State-owned MTNL provides 3G services in the other 2 circles - Delhi and Mumbai. Both these stateowned operators were given a head start by the government in the 3G space by allotting the required 3G spectrum, on the condition that each will have to pay an amount which will be equivalent to the highest bid in the respective service areas as and when the 3G auctions take place.

Selling the sim and dongle in canopy

Selling the Sim in canopy is the direct selling procedure where the company has direct sell the sim and dongle through this promotional camp.It involve all the procedure as same as in the outlet . Knops are the best way to selling the sim and dongle in the market because it mobile in nature we can move it anywhere at any place we generally put canopy in lig square and pathnipura square .canopy sim will take time to get start because we submitted the sim document in evening time so it will get 2days to start the sim.first the document is verified by the outlet CRM section if they verified it then it goes to the main office to start the sim .the whole process was taken 2 days to start up the sim. We first verified that whether the document is right or not the photo he had given is it matching with the identity or not if they match then we approved the sim if the faces .are not match then we reject the application As per rule of the TRAI every Sim will get start at with in 48 hours. Before filling a form we check all this formality so that form cannot get reject from the upper level or in the time of document verification .it is the wastage of the time and money for both side. In this type of direct selling method where company outlet can direct selling with low in cost .this type of knops are make impulse buying for the customer. You should Know every recharge voucher and its validity so that you can satisfy your customer or attract new consumer because you dont let the consumer left from you. Reliance has design the plan according to all the segment ,they try to get rich hand of every people in India so that they make their plan according to the segment .In India young generation is 45% they try to target the young generation customer because this young generation using internet more as compare to the other generation people . I was selling the Reliance net connect data card and Sim through canopy .During the 7 days we have to only analyze the customer response upon this offer .We asked some short of question to them to know about the services and network performance .We were selling of data card and sim in the main location that is the crowded area like Lig Square, opposite of C21 mall and Pathnipura Square, I got the target for creating awareness about the new 3G offer available in prepaid plans and post paid ,I got very good customer response, everyone were not interested to bought the Sim but few of them really took interest to bought that Sim and I sold 56 sim in 7days. I also segmented the consumer in geographic segment but if the consumer interested to taking the network risk we sold the sim to him/her but he gave his feedback to me that he is receiving good signal strength on surfing .This is happend because the whole network is IP integrated optical network it is the one of strength of Reliance network which established in pan India.

Question asked to customer during the selling of 3G Sim

First Step : Identify the customer Second Step: Question asked to them

Q.1. What is your name ?

Q.2. Where are you residing now?

Q.3. What is your occupation?

Q.4. Are you using internet? Yes No

If YES then which operator?

Q.5. Do you know about 3G offer?

46 | P a g e

Selling 3G SIM and dongle in the outlets

First step: Search the potential consumer in outlets who are ready to use the 3G services Second step: Segmented the customer into geographic and demographic segmentation Before demographic segmentation we did geographic segmentation for divide the group of people. In geographic segmentation we divide the people according to their area where they are residing ,because in few areas 3G network not working properly from last month. The main aim of us to make a good customer relationship with the customer so that they buy further products from here, if customer offended from our services they will not buy products in future .Due to the technical fault in few area 3G network is not working properly, we did not sell our 3G sim in that particular area .If the customer bought 3G sim they will get the 2G services in place of 3G means they get 2G data speed in place of 3G and video call may not be possible in that network. In 3G network the width of the band width is more as compare to 2G network so it is best for video call, and internet uses . Here I divide cluster such as Pathnipura, Atal Dwar, Anoop Nagar, MIG, LIG, LIG Square here in this area Reliance network working properly.Few area like Sadanand Nagar and Nanda Nagar network not working properly. After geographic segmentation I did demographic segmentation ,here I segment the customer into occupation , for every customer will not use dongle because of its high cost.So I did demographic segmentation . Dongle mostly use by businessman , college student and business executive, data consumption is also different from user to user.Reliance 3G plans are affordable to every group of income .there plans are one of the cheapest plans available in the market, speed up to 7.2 mbps. I did not sell products to the unhappy customer, who were not happy with customer services and network service in their area. I gave the brief explanation about 3G sim to customer that how it is cheaply as comparison to the other 3G service provider in the market. The maximum downloading speed is 204kbps,and browsing speed is 341kbps.which is better then other provider, it would work on HSPA ,HSPDA,UMTS 2100 MHz,EDGE and GPRS network that means it is quiet compatible to the other network. It means your device would be working in any network in pan India. Plans are available at two mode one is prepaid and another is post paid. New 3G sim available at only 200 with 4 GB data for 1month validity .If we recharge with more then 255 we shall get double data for next 30 days ,it means data available at 255 will get double. This offer available for 90 days only.
