Composition & Emphasis(25%)

The composition is carefully considered and there is a visual balance with the combination of variety and unity There is an intentional focal point and emphasis within the design

Professionalism (25%)
The design is clean, completed, and submitted on time Great attention to detail and craftsmanship The coloring is consistent throughout There are no smudges, unwanted lines, or folded edges The design is clean, completed, and submitted on time There are uneven use of color Or inconsistency within the design Or paper has unwanted folds or marks within design

Reflection (25%)
Student answered all the questions in full sentences and with specific examples Made thoughtful insights about their name design

The composition is balanced but not a clear focal point or There is a focal point but the design is not balanced There is components of variety and unity within the work

Attempted to answer all the questions in complete sentences Wrote insight on the design process with some examples

16-18 points Approaching Standards

The design somewhat embodies your characteristics (one) Only one of these components: type, images/symbols, color, layout are utilized to create a stylized design The design of the name is unclear

There is an attempt in creating a balance composition and/or focal point within the design Too much unity or too much variety

Design was not submitted on time And Incomplete/Inconsistent in coloring Design was not on required paper Unwanted marks and folds on design Design was not turned in Design is incomplete (more than half) Final project has folded in half or excessive marks on design

5-15 pts. Insufficient Evidence
