Version 2.0 DX8000 Series digital video recorders (DVRs) provide new, unparalleled, and unique high-performance features that the PC-based digital video recorder market needs to meet and to exceed the ever-growing video security application requirements. And because DX8000 version 2.0 is the DVR that answered the markets call, the new product features have further extended the DX8000s leading position in the PC-based digital video recorder market. Existing DX8000 systems are easily upgraded to version 2.0. Built on a powerful eight-channel or sixteen-channel camera hardware platform controlled and managed by the robust version 2.0 software, the DX8000 records video up to 480 images per second (IPS) at a maximum CIF image size. The recorded video is saved to an internal storage space of up to 1 TB. Other features such as external RAID storage and multiple search and playback tools have set the standard for an entire industry. DX8000 conguration and operation information is now readily available from online Help. Multiple security events can occur any time of day and on any day of the week. The DX8000 provides continuous, motion detection, alarm, ATM/POS, and normal scheduled recording simultaneously. You can congure one or multiple cameras to record individually in response to any security event, at a different IPS and image size for each event. Now, a video loss event is quickly detected and can trigger an alarm. Quick and easy access to the DX8000 camera view Favorites feature allow you to set up and individualize multiple camera views. For example, you can select cameras from different sites and save that unique group of cameras as a favorite. These different Favorites

(camera views) are easily retrieved from the DX8000 View menu for viewing. Instant playback and displaying server and client video in real time over the network allow immediate attention to be given to the video security event. Viewing is supported on a variety of client platforms, including Internet browsers and Pocket PC-compatible handheld devices. Fully implemented networking capabilities allow remote administration, playback, and export using the included Client application. For example, you can listen and monitor live audio over the network. This feature and the ability now to quickly turn relays on and off from the DX8000 site tree allow you to manage entry access. And as your business security application requirements grow and change, you can increase your DX8000 client-to-server network up to 100 connections. The DX8000 incorporates a number of vigorous security measures, recognized by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Microsoft , to ensure system integrity and to safeguard data. Overall, the DX8000 combines a feature-rich security platform with a exible and intuitive user interface offering an unprecedented level of functionality.

APPLICATIONS
Existing applications that have third-party domes installed are easily integrated into the DX8000 network. Version 2.0 DX8000 software supports control of multiple manufacturers dome devices without the use of specialized hardware converters. This feature is especially valuable in retrot applications, allowing up to four different third-party domes to be simultaneously supported in addition to the Pelco Coaxitron protocol. Any or all of these domes can now be controlled from a KBD300A keyboard that offers direct camera-to-monitor selection and an intuitive joystick control for unprecedented ease of use. Up to 36 images can be displayed simultaneously in version 2.0 for maximum effectiveness of the viewing resource. This feature is especially valuable when used with some of todays larger monitors, especially the Pelcos 700 Series of DLP monitors. With just a few easy keystrokes, the KBD300A allows you to select any camera from up to ve servers and send the video to any video display surface. Another powerful feature is the addition of a direct connection to ATM/POS devices and others serial devices. Not only does the DX8000 capture the serial data from those devices along with the associated video, it turns the data into searchable elds for instant retrieval of transactions in which you have special interest. Adding direct integration to DX8000 enhances the very powerful X-Portal software API to make data mining possible at all levels.

The DX8000 can record at frame rates up to 480 images per second (ips) NTSC and 400 ips PAL. The total frame rate capacity is distributed among eight or sixteen cameras, depending on the conguration of your unit. Resolution and frame rate values can be assigned evenly among all cameras or can be congured independently for individual cameras. Frame rate values can also be customized according to recording mode type (normal, motion, alarm, and ATM/POS).
