Behavioural objectives

: By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to: 1) Pronoun the phonemes /ai/ and /i:/ correctly. 2) Pick the correct word cards based on the pronunciation heard.

1. Pupils are told that they are going to learn the sound /ai/ and /i:/. 2. Teacher introduce the phonemes /ai/ and /i:/. Teacher teaches to phonemes using body movement and words cards. 3. Teacher says out the phonemes and pupils repeat after her. 4. Teacher articulates the

1. Pupils are divided into groups of 4. Each member of the group will get different picture. 2. Teacher explains that the pupils need to show the correct picture when she say the word. 3. Teacher check on their answer.

4. Pupils are divided into 3 groups. 5. Teacher say a word and the pupils from each group pick the corresponding word cards. 6. The pupils read the word, segment it and stick the card on the board. 7. The pupils with wrong word cards lose their turn and put the cards into the box. Closure ( 3 mins.)
