Standard Bank:
* January 2005 to December 2006: Account Executive - Expert Market,
Business Banking
(Standard Bank – Nelspruit Region):
Managing the accounts of a portfolio of Expert customers with turnover in excess of
R5 million.
During this period I was able to focus on the key customers that banked with me as
Priority and Private Banking Customers and were able to convince a large percentage
of them to bring over their business accounts to Standard Bank from opposition banks.
* July 2000 to December 2004: Personal Relationship Manager: Priority Banking
(Standard
Bank – Lowveld Area):
Managing the accounts of customers and giving advice on all related products and
Wealth Creation in this newly established portfolio in Mpumalanga Province. The need
for this portfolio was identified due to the fact that there are a large number of High
Income Earners in the Nelspruit and White River Area. The portfolio grew on a year on
year basis by at least 15% and later included Priority Banking customers (high net
worth individuals - investable assets of at least R10 million rand). I requested the move
to the Expert Market (Large Businesses) as I was ready for a new challenge. When I
moved to the new role the Priority Market was sufficiently large that two new Personal
Relationship Managers were appointed to look after the customers in this market.
* July 1998 to July 2000: Manager: Personal Markets (Standard Bank – Ermelo
Core):
Established the Personal Market Portfolio in the Ermelo Core after the restructuring
of the Branch Structure into Commercial, SME and Personal Market Portfolios
Managing seven Personal Bankers, three Home Loans Consultants and three
Consumer Consultants. The success achieved in this role led to my appointment
in the newly created Priority Banking Portfolio in Nelspruit, the capital of
Mpumalanga Province
* August 1995 to July 1998: Assistant Public Relations Officer and Public Relations
Officer,
Two regions:
Established the Public Relations function in the newly formed Province.
Put in place infrastructure and support system to handle customer queries and
complaints for the 28 branches
Planning public relations programs
Controlled sponsorship budget of R2 million for 28 branches
Co-ordinate functions, donations, sponsorships and RDP related projects

Writing press releases and articles
