Brief History
Ferrara candy company created Lemonheads in 1962. According to the Ferrara website, the company was founded in 1908 by Salvatore Ferrara, Salvatore Buffardi and Anello Pagano. Since the creation of the lemonheads, Ferrara came out with other flavored versions of lemonheads, like grapeheads and appleheads. Next Ferrara came out with Chewy Lemonheads and friends. These new candies were chewy all the way through, instead of hard like classic lemonheads, and included other flavors. A few years ago, Ferrara created the newest candy, Tropical Chewy Lemonheads. Each piece consists of two flavors. The flavors are kiwi-strawberry, peach-mango, cherry watermelon, pink lemonade and berry-banana.

Brief History
Tropical Lemonheads are the best, but least known, candies on the market. The busy box causes people to pass over it when they are perusing the candy aisle. More people would want to try Tropical Lemonheads if the box was simpler and more modern and flashy. I plan to give Tropical Lemonheads a new attention-grabbing look. I want to replace the little fruit-people with retro cartoon fruits. I want the Lemonheads logo to be bigger so people can recognize what brand it is. The newer looking packaging will grab peoples attention and get them to try and fall in love with Tropical Lemonheads for good, and sales will increase right away.

Style Guide
Fonts
Kavoon Caesar dressing Carrois Gothic I will use Kavoon for the Lemonhead part of the logo, and Caesar Dressing for the Tropical part. I like Kavoon because it maintains the classic feel of Lemonhead brand, but the Caesar Dressing font is perfect too because it reminds me of a Tiki Torch party. I will use Carrois Gothic for all body text because it is simple and easy to read but still maintains a tropical feel. My body text will always be 12 pts, and subtitles written in Carrois Gothic, like the one above, will be written size 20 pts. The logo text will be 50 pts size, but I may have to adjust the two words in the logo since Kavoon and Caesar Dressing might look like different sizes.

Logo

I recreated the logo because the old one was busy and boring. I like this new logo because the Tropical part almost looks like it has been stamped onto the Lemonheads part. I dont see when I would need to use a black-and-white logo, but at least we have it just in case. The Tropical Lemonheads logo should be placed in the center of the packaging, a little more toward the top. On the magazine ad, it should be placed in the bottom left corner.
