Just as for the range SERTAM, this drum screen separates continuously solid particles in suspension in a fluid. The suspension is distributed on a filtering drum; the particles larger than the openings are retained then scraped away and recovered. A continuous cleaning is ensured by the filtered water, which crosses the drum from the interior towards the exterior.

DESIGN FEATURES The characteristic of the ECOTAM rotary sieve is that this drum screen, at low cost, can be placed in a channel to treat small flows. With a simple and cast solid design, this equipment will allow its user to very simply insert it in the discharge wastewater channel. The filter drum consists of stainless steel triangular section wires like the SERTAM: this wire allows the obtaining of a very favourable hydrodynamic transmission coefficient from the exterior towards the interior, and facilitates the cleaning of the grid from the inside towards the outside. Rolling up is carried out by a 0,25 to 5 mm slots between wires, according to the fineness of the desired filtration. The scraper still consists of a brass blade, fixed on a stainless steel articulated chute, which position in relation to the drum, is manually adjusted. The drive is ensured by a moto-reductor with a speed of rotation of 15 rpm.

APPLICATIONS Drum screens ECOTAM can be used in the same fields as the SERTAM: i.e., either in wastewater treatment, or in process, for all the urban purification stations and industries: (canning facilities - slaughterhouses - cheese dairies - wine industry chemistry - pharmacy - etc).
