CATHOLIC CHARITIES BOARD TRAINING: ETHICS AND GOVERNANCE

Course Description
This interactive workshop will provide guidance for members of boards regarding the basics of board governance and board rules in a not-forprofit. Some of the topics include defining the fiduciary role of a Board member, the difference between a for profit and not-for-profit organization, and how to govern with the quality standards and rules we follow from our funders (including United Way) and our accrediting body (Council on Accreditation). The presenter will examine real world situations and provide examples of pitfall avoidance.
