National foreword
This British standard has been prepared by Technid Committee ISW8 Sta.inless sted tubes -Dzmensions, tolemmes and conventional masses per unit length, and is the English ianguage version of EN IS0 1127 : 1996, published by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). It is identical with IS0 1127 : 1992,prepared by ISO/rC 5, Ferrous metal pipes and metallic f i t t i n g s ,of the International Organization for Standardization (BO) with the active participation of the UK.

It supersedes ce-

specjficationsin BS 3600 : 1976 which are deleted by amendment.

Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations.
