If your activation failed before shouting out keys are blocked you should check those points: 1. I have not test activating WMC via KMS Server for 180 days. Even if it is working you may have trouble keeping WMC active every after 180 days therefore permanent activation via Windows 8 Retail Keys is the best option in my opinion. However you all free to test if it is working

What is that edition you mentioned exactly ??? Windows 8 Core Windows 8 Pro Windows 8 Pro N (At start you r saying core but In STEP 4 it says Pro)

I don't know about that cause even WMC Pro Keys for life time but KMS Activation for 180 days, I see people getting trouble trying to activate MMC over KMS activation however you would not get add features if you install VL Edition. I also see people are activating W8 Pro with WMC SWAPPING data.dat files. They activate but they are not Genuine.. In the topic you all see you activate and Genuine same time.

I used Original MSDN Windows 8 Core Edition when you put the Retail Keys to Core Edition they change to Windows 8 Pro Edition. But you can use Windows 8 Pro [Retail] Edition too but not Volume License Edition. Cause W8 Pro VL does not have Add Features to upgrade WMC.
