WARM START Sr. No. PARTICULARS Physical Checking of Boiler. Check the Boiler Physically for any abnormality.

. All air vents of boiler drum, all S/H, R/H, SH-3 L/R drains and buffle valve should be open. RH gas path damper should be closed and S/H gas path damper should be open. Fill up the water in boiler through low point drains, by CTP up to 2 or 3 ports of boiler drum. Ensure the furnace, ESP hoppers & economizer hopper sealing. Check inter lock of all LOPs of ID/FD/PA fans. Lockout release & Electrical scheme of ID/FD fans make ON. Start selected ID Fan and after opening of its suction damper on auto, open the discharge damper and immediately engage scoop (8590 Amps). Start the selected FD Fan and open Air heater by pass damper maintain furnace draft(-5mmwcl). Maintained air flow about 30%. Resetting MFR Charge BAS line and maintain pressure around 15 Kg/Cm2 HSD/HFO shut off V/V closed. Reset MFR by push button 1.2&3, wait for purge complete(approx 5 min.) then push button 4 &5. Open HSD/HFO shut off V/V ensure pressure more than 10Kg/Cm2 Ensure the closing of all attemperation V/V. Light-up the boiler with 2 HSD guns. Parallel activity of TAS charging as per procedure given below. Rate of rise of steam temperature should be approx 1 oC/min. After 45 min. add 2 more HSD guns. Keep watch on boiler drum pressure, drum level & flue gas temperature. Ensure that steam is coming from all the air vents. Closed all the air vents of Drum, Platen S/H and final S/H at about 5Kg/Cm2 drum pressure. Ensure the closing of buffle valve, Primary S/H and intermediate drain valve. Open the feed check valve & all air vents of feed pipe line. Charge Air heater if flue gas temperature before air heater reaches about 180 oC. STATUS REMARKS

2 WARM START Sr. No. PARTICULARS TAS Charging. Open all atmospheric drains of TAS line. Charge TAS line from available unit. After achieving required TAS pressure and temperature, closed all the atmospheric drains of TAS line. Ensure the running of one CEP and availability of standby CEP. Charge the pegging line of dearator before starting the Boiler Feed Pump. Isolating valve of gland seal system to be opened. Start vacuum pulling and keep full vacuum in condenser. MAIN STEAM LINE CHARGING. First of all ensure that all the drains of main steam. HRH as well as CRH should be open. Start charging of main steam line at about 8 to 10 Kg/Cm2 pressure by opening of equalizing valves of main steam stop valves. As the desired temperature rises in down steam start opening of main steam stop valves by inching gradually until main steam line charged. CHARGING OF LP/HP BY PASS SYSTEM Ensure HP Bypass control cubical ready and LP bypass control cubical ready as well as governing rack charged. Open warm up valves (L/R) of HP by pass system at about 10 Kg/Cm2. After proper heating open the isolating valve (MS1, MS2) Open the BP1&BP2 valve 2% to 4%. Ensure starting of BFP as per requirement of drum level& close the air vent of feed line. Open the BD Isolating & control valves should be regulated such as steam temperature of down stream to be at 300-320 0C (Through BPE1&BPE2). Ensure opening of LP Bypass spray, stop valve and control valve on auto mode and maintain steam pressure 12 Kg/Cm2 with the help of fixed set point. Keep close watch on Re heater pressure IF PUT ON MANUAL MODE. Check the L.P. exhaust hood temperature it should be within 90 o C. STATUS REMARKS

3 WARM START Sr. No. PARTICULARS LOADING OF MILLS To ensure adequate ignition energy for selected mill group. Start SA, PA fans and after achieving adequate mill temp. start mill and RCF. Ensure adequate steam flow through Re Heater. Load the mills gradually as & when required. REQUIRED PARAMETER FOR ROLLING Main Steam Pressure about 35-40 Kg/.Cm2 Main Steam temp. 350Deg.C(Cold Start) TAS temperature should be maintained about to 250 C. For maintaining above parameters necessary firing rate may be increased accordingly. BEFORE TURBINE ROLLING FOLLOWING CHECKS IS TO BE MADE. Check the machine whether it is Hydraulic /Electro hydraulic governing mode Machine should be kept on EHG mode. Starting device should be on 0%. Speeder Gear should be at 100 %. Trip Oil Pressure more than 4.8 Kg/cm2. Check the interlock of AOP/EOP, JOP, AC/DC Seal Oil pump and stator water pumps. And ensure stator water flow should not be less than 30 Ton per hours. Check the thrust oil filters, Lube Oil filter and Governing racks filters. Ensure ATRS console is ready. Load Reference set point should not be more than 50 MW. Load limiter should not be more than 50MW Roll the turbine through ATRS and also monitor steps and criterias of turbine rolling. Keep watch on Vibrations of Turbine at critical speeds and axial shift, and all turbine expansions Keep watch on Lube Oil & Bearing Metal Temperatures Physical checking of machine at the time of rolling. At 600 RPM and At 3000RPM. STATUS REMARKS

4 WARM START Sr. No. PARTICULARS CHECKS BEFORE SYNCHROZING OF MACHINE Ensure generator breaker is opened. Ensure closing of line and Bus Isolators. Check the Bus No. on which machine will be synchronized. Close the field Breaker and buildup the voltage up to 15.3 to 15.75 KV depending upon system position . Match the voltage & frequency /speed of machine with system and synchronize machine after looking of the feed check up relay (Green Indication) by ATRS or GCP. Load the machine gradually as per TSE margins. STATUS REMARKS
