Alignment Tool page on SM

New page with graphical, near-real-time jitter and received power level information

Alignment Tool page on SM

Jitter is now consistent across 1X/2X operation Improved refresh algorithm Key Color Jitter Power Level Overall Link Quality Good Green 1 to 4 > -72 dBm OK Bad

Orange Red 5 to 8 9 to 15 -72 to -75 < -75 dBm dBm Worse of Jitter or Power Level

Jitter consistent between 1X and 2X on all radios

One scale for both 1X and 2X Adds Min and Max to Actual 1-4 is Good, 5-8 is OK, 9-15 is Bad

Link Status Table on AP

Network status at a glance

Link Status Table on AP (contd)

All links, both directions, shown in one place Power Level, Jitter, Link Test results, BER, Regs, and ReRegs Last SM-initiated Link Test shown - not triggered or updated by AP-initiated Link Tests BER is a downlink (only) measurement

10

PPPoE Client in SM
New page with graphical, near-real-time jitter and received power level information

11

PPPoE Statistics in SM

12

PPPoE Client in SM
Enabled on Configuration => PPPoE page of SM Must have NAT enabled! Must have Translation Bridging on AP disabled (default) Must have NAT Public IP DHCP client disable

With PPPoE enabled, SM will register to AP, then immediately attempt to connect to the PPPoE server

13

DFS Event History Log

Appears when radio is running DFS as determined by Region Code. (Note, SM takes on Region of AP when it registers)
14

Remote Spectrum Analysis

Set duration (10-1000 seconds) and start Spectrum Analysis from either AP or SM GUI SM de-registers, scans, then re-registers and displays bar graph Can display (and save) bar graph .xml On SM, can set Spectrum Analyzer to run for 10 seconds on boot On SM, can run continuous spectrum analysis Will run until stopped or until 24 hours, at which point the SM scans again for APs

15

Remote Spectrum Analysis

Additional fields on SM

16

LED Light Scheme (900 MHz Indoor SMs)

New LED light scheme to support SM installation by subscriber Green is good, yellow is okay, red is bad Can be set on any band SM - may be useful in some settings and workflows for outdoor SMs

17

LED Light Scheme (900 MHz Indoor SMs)

Color Red Revised Mode Not Registered Off when registered to AP On when not registered to AP Medium Receive Signal Power Blinking from slow to full-on medium, getting stronger Strong Receive Signal Power Blinking from slow to full-on strong, getting stronger Interference (Jitter) On - high interference Blinking - medium interference Off - low interference Activity Link Both Modes Legacy Mode Power

Settable Broadcast Repeat Count

on AP

19

Settable Broadcast Repeat Count

on AP

No Auto Repeat reQuest on downlink broadcast - Canopy repeats these packets to help ensure their arrival Fine for typical systems Not good for systems using downlink broadcast for video distribution (for example) Default is 2 repeats (in addition to the original broadcast) For systems using downlink broadcast for video, set to 0 or 1 repeats

20

Other Enhancements
Option to disable 24-hour encryption key refresh on BHs (set on BHM)

Cleaner Link Speed selection on all radios

21

Other Enhancements
Clear (set to 0) BER results on SM and BHS

AP displays Max Registered SM Count as well as current Session Uptime shown on each radio

Second SNMP Community String on all radios - String 2 is Read Only, String 1 is settable Read Only or Read/Write

22
