MUDE

MUDE (Multiuser Development Environment): Multiple people can work on a same repository at a same time. There will be a server and there will be clients. The server will be main server and we keep the repository called as shared repository in the server. That shared repository will be accessed by all clients. We will keep the shared repository/main repository in a shared path which can be accessed by all clients. Clients will connect to the server and copy the repository to his local machine.

Check-Out: When the client connect to server to copy the shared repository he becomes Administrator, until unless he checkout the repository other clients cont copy the shared repository. So the client must disconnect from server (Checkout). Check-in: Check-in means after doing the modification to the RPD in the local machine the client should Check-in the repository (means saving the repository in the local machine). Publish to Network: The local repository merge with server repository. Once we publish the repository then there will be no repository in local machine. Disadvantages: No 2 people can publish to network at the same time and no 2 people can import the repository at the same time. There is no tracking, no security.
