Abstract:
The asymmetric characteristic of asymmetric coplanar waveguide (ACPW) was analyzed, and the asymmetric factor of ACPW
was redefined by using the power ratio of the two sides of ACPW. The ACPW with asymmetric defected ground structure (ACPWADGS) can be considered as parallel connection of two asymmetric coplanar strip line, the equivalent circuit for ACPW-ADGS
bandstop filter was derived. With the asymmetric factor, the Y-matrix of the ACPW-ADGS bandstop filter is simplified. The
equivalent circuit parameters for ACPW-ADGS bandstop filter are extracted, the S-parameters for the equivalent circuit are
calculated. The corresponding circuit was fabricated and measured, the calculated and measured S-parameters have a good
agreement.
