Vehicle Extrication
NEW EXPANDED SERIES!
Vehicle extrication emergencies are a leading category of response for re and rescue personnel. Responding to these incidents is inherently dangerous because of vehicle tra c and many other hazardous conditions. Both the patient and responders lives depend on solid, up-to-date training in incident management, basic operational procedures and knowledge of tools and techniques used to complete an e cient and e ective extrication. Its critical that emergency responders are aware of hazards and how to control them at an extrication scene. Familiarity and knowledge of equipment use and of new vehicle technology is key to rescuer safety. To help instructors meet these challenges, we have expanded our Vehicle Extrication series with new programs on hybrid and electric vehicles, advanced steel and alternative techniques for situations when the team must extricate trapped patients without hydraulic rescue tools. This 10-title Vehicle Extrication series builds on the foundation of our existing seven programs, already a mainstay for training in vehicle extrication throughout the Fire Service.

Action Training Systems & IFSTA/FPP Team Up to Provide Comprehensive Emergency Training
IFSTA/FPP has been the worlds largest provider of fire service training manuals since 1934. Fire Protection Publications, a department of Oklahoma State University, is the headquarters for the International Fire Service Training Association, an association of fire service personnel dedicated to upgrading firefighting techniques and safety. IFSTAs volunteer committees of technical experts address current standards of the NFPA and other standards-making groups as they apply to IFSTA-validated manuals. For more than two decades, Action Training Systems and IFSTA / FPP have collaborated in developing multimedia content for ATS products. IFSTA / FPP editors and committee members often serve as subject matter experts for ATS content. Our innovative multimedia training programs provide fullmotion video demonstration of job skills and teach to the same standards as IFSTA-validated manuals published by FPP.
Adding Action Training Systems computer-based training programs to our product line is a natural extension of the excellent partnership that IFSTA/FPP and Action Training Systems have enjoyed for more than 20 years. Both organizations are the recognized leaders in their respective areas of the fire service training world.

IFSTA MANUAL:
INDUSTRIAL EMERGENCY SERVICES TRAINING: INCIPIENT LEVEL
This manual covers those standards, laws, and regulations that apply to the incipient-level fire brigade member. We recommend this IFSTA manual as a teaching companion to the ATS series Industrial Fire Brigades: Incipient Level. These standards outline the general requirements for an organized industrial fire brigade and define the minimum standards and the professional requirements for incipient industrial fire brigade members. However, the functions that the industrial fire brigade will be expected to perform in the workplace are site-specific and will vary from facility to facility and from company to company. This book is written for industrial emergency services personnel who fight incipient-stage fires and for management personnel who are responsible for developing procedures and training for the industrial fire brigade.

The fire simulator program, StageIT, has provided a realistic first due and tactical decision-making process by using photos of actual buildings located in our city. The realism and ability to create several slides allows me to change the fire conditions based upon the tactical decisions made by company officers and their crews.
