Export pricingMethod of entry in a foreign market-Appointing Agents abroad-Product promotion in the international market-International market research-New techniques of international market-Project exportsInternational economic institutions-Software exports and service exports-management of risk in international marketing. 2.Export-Import Procedure and Documentation Basic documents used in international trade-export letter of credit - processing of an export order excise duty and sales tax procedure - pre-shipment documentation - standardisation procedure for export by sea, inland container depots, container freight stations, export by air, courier service, land and river, export by post. Collection, negotiation of export documents - registration, formalities with export promotion councils, FIEO, export promotion schemes, incentives to exporters - Registration formalities -

opening of letter of credit for import. Retirement of import documents. Customs procedure for clearing of imported goods. (100 Marks)

3.Foreign Exchange Management Foreign exchange markets - different players in the market - type of FOREX transactions - exchange rates basics - exchange rate quotations - merchant rates - forward contracts - FEDAI guidelines on export-import transactions - exchange control regulations of RBI on export of goods software etc exchange control regulations of RBI on imports - revaluation and depreciation of currencies - full convertibility of rupee - foreign currency accounts - foreign exchange risk management in international business. 4.Export-Import Finance Export finance and payments - export credit - financing foreign receivables - advances against collections - discounting trade acceptance - institutional support for export finance in India - RBI guidelines - trade control - ECGC guidelines - FEDAI guidelines - International Chamber of Commerce. Stages of export finance - types of pre-shipment and post-shipment finance. Different stages of postshipment finance-types of post-shipment finance -. Students can select one of the following subjects and indicate their choice in the application form.

EXAMINATIONS

The question papers will be sent to the students in 15 days after completion of the program. The students should submit the answer sheets within 15 days after the receipt of question papers. The answers must be written in their own handwriting in A4 size white paper. Any student who fails in an examination can rewrite paper in which he/she failed on payment of Rs.100(Rupees One Hundred only) as examination fee for each paper.
