YX missions to Cagayan de Oro
DAY 1 — TRIXIE VIA TEXT PHONE: Hi there! Praises to our Lord Jesus. We are now in Cagayan about to take
our good night rest. We had a great day which began with a stop over at Cebu City where we were accommodated by
our His Life Cebu family - Rocky, Ian and Arnold who cooked tasty adobo for our lunch. We proceeded to Ayala para
mag suroy-suroy while Rocky and I (Trixie) had think tank together regarding CAMP topics and His Life Cebu's next
series. We went back to Mactan airport for our CDO night flight. We arrived CDO safely where Jedah, Ian and Daisy
(of His LIfe CDO) fetched us and brought us all to Paula's place (another His Life CDO member). We were welcomed
again with a super delicious meal cooked by Paula's Papa. Next came our 1st meeting with the people of CDO - Cheng,
Archet, Stephen, Paula, Daisy, John and Chris. It was a time of getting to know one another and asking questions
regarding the status of His Life CDO family. Our hearts are inspired to know our His Life family here are pressing on
with there commitment to Jesus despite of the 'odds'. I thank the Lord for Pastor Dantz and Pearls for there dedication
in sowing the seeds on the church here. Their labor is not in vain.. Glory to JESUS!!
We wish to thank all of you who supported our mission trip here. Your investment is for eternity. Please keep on
praying for us; good health, as some of us are having cough and colds discomfort, provision for the encounter
weekend we are planning, God's guidance and favor in everything, fruitful evangelism and solid discipleship. God
bless you and His Life CDO !! — Thank you JESUS!

DAY 2 — Hello again from the City of Golden Friendships – Cagayan de Oro. Today is the second day of our
missions exposure. Early in the morning Ian, Eeka and Allen went marketing for our food needs. We
had breakfast in our place courtesy of our Chef Ian. We then met briefly for the Day’s itinerary. We all
proceeded to the famous Limketkai Mall where we had lunch. Our team met after lunch in Café Alegre
at their sky park. It was a meeting of reevaluating our schedule, jotting down the things we need to
impart in our CDO family and assigning tasks for each group of two’s. Eeka and I went to check on
possible rooms we can rent for our meetings. We found there air conditioned function room to be very
affordable at 500 pesos per 3hours of use! Although it will still be available for us the following week
because of long holiday ahead. We all went back to our place to take our rest. We were able to meet Malou and Rive
who were also contacts of Pastor Dantz and Pearls. They visited us when they learned from Paula we were here. Praise
God for Paula and Stephen who are contacting their other His Life contacts to encourage them to attend the
ENCOUNTER we are planning to hold on April 11 and 12. Please pray that we will be able to find an appropriate
venue for this and that our contacts will be able to attend. We thank the Lord for the other His Life sites who
contributed a total of 5,000 pesos for the encounter. Going back to our day happenings, Ian, Allen and Eeka prepared
dinner for us. Eeka cooked her unique ginisa na laswa. It was our first time to hear and taste such a thing, but it turned
out good. Our dish washers are Jun, Renz and Greg. After the chores, the team excitedly went out again to have a
Prayer Walk at Divisoria (the city’s plaza) while Trina and I (Trixie) stayed home since I was not feeling well since this
am due to an itchy throat and joint aches. God is good! We’ll be having partial fasting day tomorrow and we’ll be
finalizing things for the encounter by visiting some suggested places. I pray for God’s guidance and favor that we will
be fruitful and successful in our search tomorrow. God bless you all and thanks for your prayers for the CDO missions
team as well as for His Life family here. Alegre d ka-ayu sa Cagayan. Mayu unta maka adto sad mo diri, God willing.

Guide Notes for April 12, 2009

All is WELL
From the Song, “I Will Rise”,
There's a peace I've come to know;
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul; I can say "It is well"
Jesus has overcome; And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won; He is risen from the dead
And I hear the voice of many angels sing,
"Worthy is the Lamb"
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings; Before my God fall
on my knees; And rise, I will rise
Notice, that this song brings comfort to the hardest of
times. There rings an idea of hope and confidence in
what Jesus did. When even the last enemy called death
is overwhelmed, what else could bring you more
confidence? That’s the power of the resurrection of
Jesus!
We have a Savior and a God that has defeated death.
If we are believers and followers of him, then we have
victory over it as well in Him, in what He made us to be.
He did make us alive, and even though all of us one day
will say good-bye to our earthly bodies, we have the
assurance and hope that we will rise when He calls our
name.
The last book of the bible, the book of Revelations is a
book of conquest! He has won! He is worthy! He is in
control.
Jesus is ALIVE forevermore! Only an Amen and a breath of Hope
can be its fruit. When you and I hear this promise from God’s
Word, we immediately thank God that Jesus is alive. That Jesus
is in control and that all our fears can be banished in His Name.
That’s the reason why I have as a personal crusade to call
people to be followers of Jesus. To call kids, the youth, men and
women to come to follow Jesus.
He makes everything right.
He makes everything “well with our souls”.
This world could promise everything but still could leave
us hanging. For Jesus it is just the opposite. When He
declares something, it is good as final … in fact it is!
He said, “he will die and rise again!” Well, he did!
Will you trust your life today and eternity tomorrow to
Jesus now? Pray … “God I surrender all to you. I turn
away from sin. I repent. I believe you died for my sins
and rose for me to live for you, Lord Jesus. In the midst
of any conflict, fear or defeat, I can now declare “I will
Arise”; “all is well with my soul”; “hallelujah”; “worthy is
the Lamb”. Notice? The Resurrection of Jesus causes
you and I to worship Him. When we do, worry is
conquered, fear is halted, and faith has taken its place in
our lives. All is well! - "Do not be afraid. I am the First
and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold
I am alive for ever and ever! [see Revelations 1:17, 18]

Judge NOT
How many of you are married?
How many of you here are happily married?
Are you enjoying the people around you?
The people you are working with? The people in your family?
How about your spouse? Are you enjoying or are you enduring?
Let’s change the question:
• Do you think the people around you are enjoying you?
Or are they just enduring you?
• Do you want to enjoy the people around you?
Do you people around you to enjoy you?
• Do you believe God wants you to enjoy the people around
you? I believe so yes. What does God want us to do for us
to enjoy the people around us or for people to enjoy us?
NIV Matthew 7:1 "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the
same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure
you use, it will be measured to you. 3 "Why do you look at the speck of
sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your
own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out
of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You
hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will
see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
One big idea: Don’t be judgmental!
How do we know that we are not being judgmental on other
people?
1. Reject hypocrisy
Is pointing out the wrong in someone’s life and being unwilling
to admit or consider it in your own life.
Live to impress God rather than men.
2. Embrace Integrity
You choose integrity when you see a fault in someone else and
immediately look at yourself to see if there signs of the same
fault in you. You recognize that the wrong you see in others
might be an indication of a sin in your own life.
3. Extend mercy
We live in a society that believes the opposite of judgment is
tolerance. And tolerance is falsely define as accepting without
opinion or comment whatever choices another makes. But Jesus
told us that the alternative to judgment is not tolerance but
MERCY.
The alternative to being judgmental is not ignoring people’s
faults but showing that Jesus has forgiven all our faults.
Being biblically non judgmental does not mean we pretend we
don’t see another person’s sin but it does mean we recognize
that we all face the same temptations.
How do we live a non judgmental life?
1. Understand and trust God’s judgment
2. Receive & be refreshed by God’s mercy.
