Silver ions are blended into the silicone to inhibit the growth of
microbes, which prevents degradation of the tubing. Tubing is opaque
tan and is for use with water, air, and food and beverage. Tubing is

Class VI, though it is not for use in medical applications. Tubing can
be sterilized with steam (autoclaving), gas, and radiation.
