CONTENT

Set Induction (6 minutes)

-Video Clip : Bambis Mom Dies

Teaching &Learning ACTIVITY 1) Teacher gets the pupils to watch the video clip with full of concentration. 2) Pupils response by stating the main idea of the video clip shown.

RATIONALE

Presentation (15 minutes)

1) How does the poem make you feel? Why? 2) Does the poem remind you of anybody in your life? 3) What pictures did you see in your mind as you read the poem?

1. Teacher shows a poem about a mother. 2. Teacher gets the pupils to recite the poem. 3. Then, teacher asks the pupils to underline the words that they feel important. 4. Teacher posts and discusses further about the poem by preparing a set of questions. 5. Pupils need to respond and state their view or opinion.

To provide Teaching language input to aids: the learner. -Powerpoint Presentation (Appendix 2) -Manila Card (Appendix 3)

Practise (20 minutes)

Activity 1. -Adjectives Home

Activity 2. -Writing Wishes (Enrichment Worksheet) -Greeting Cards (Remedial worksheet)

1. Teacher shows the poem to the pupils again. 2. Teacher asks pupils to underline the adjectives found from the poem. 3. Teacher discusses the answer with the pupils about the details of the poem. 4. Teacher asks the pupils to state their wishes to their mother by using the adjectives. (Enrichment) 5. Teacher asks the pupils to write a greeting card by using the adjectives. ( Remedial)

To practice the listening & speaking skills among the pupils.

Teaching aids: -Powerpoint Presentation (Appendix 2)

To highlight the -Worksheet adjectives. (Appendix 4i and 4ii)

To strengthen pupils understanding of the text.

Production (15minutes)

Activity 1:

1. In a group of 4, teacher asks the -Find The Great pupils to search for Things About more adjectives from Your Mother the crossword puzzle (Crossword provided within the Puzzle) allocated time (5 minutes). 2. Pupils need to find and list out all the adjectives found on a mahjong paper. 3. Each representative from the respective group has to present their group work.
